rebuilding -or- reloading .... whatever u wanna call it

the fact is...
dwill was the only player they planned on resigning & they was gonna either trade for and sign free agents to complete their roster
and Brook.

and see how keeping DWill and making him happy was predicated on signing free agents, not drafting a bunch of youngins?

For what though? It's not like they can tank

Even if they trade Young & Lopez for picks, there's not really a scenario where they don't make their team worse.

They get their pick back two full seasons after this one(2019 draft). Meanwhile the cap is expected to rise, which means more bad contracts, so Nets can start taking on bad contracts for picks/young players after next season. If the the new GM plays it right, you can have a decent young player or two for the cheap(from trading Lopez and taking on bad contracts) while you get a high upside player through the 2019 draft(hopefully).

After this season ends
Trade Brook Lopez to SA for a top ten protected 2018 pick

During the 2017-2018 season
Take on bad contract for lotto protected 2019 pick

Tank for the 2019 and 2020 drafts

rebuild - even inquiring dwill they still was in rebuilding mode
he was supposedly to be the 1st piece, they had every player on their roster coming off the books that offseason before the BK move

billy king fukked the WHOLE shyt up

There is no justifiable excuse for the shyt stew King cooked up. Let that fukk nikka GM ur team if you disagree.

They're dead in the water for a decade, there isn't a team in a worst position than them. People make fun of the Sixers, but the light is at the end of the tunnel for them, the Nets literally have nothing to look forward to.

Tank?

Yall still trying to make the playoffs :dead:
:snoop: GSW gon mess around and win in 3, they gon beat us so bad.

gearld wallace -lack of offensive talent, continually being injury prone, past his prime at the age of 30 etc...etc... WAS NOT even MY main issue of making that horrific trade

BUT
the fact that he was a restricted free agent whom Portland had no interest in resigning a 30 yr old hustle/energy player -they was already focusing on their young star nic batum who was a better younger version of wallace that could shoot&score

:mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

mind u this trade went down at the trading deadline
a month & a half till end of season

billy king mental challenge azz traded the 6th pick for a bum who played a whopping 16 games

making this the worst trade NOT ONLY in NBA history but in all sports

:mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

This was the moment Billy King should've been fired. How are you gonna put top 3 protection on a pick because you only like 3 players in the draft. Nevermind the fact that the pick became Lillard. I hated the hire from jump and Billy King's tenure has been nothing but a clusterfukk of asset mismanagement fueled by bravado and a desire to win now. Billy King was a GM on borrowed time for 4-5 years too late and now we're a legit NBA black hole.

:mjcry:

I'm going to be honest. This franchise has gone downhill ever since Ratner and his goons bought the team and decided to not resign Kenyon Martin. Sure they kept Kidd for a couple of years and got Carter but it was all just a distraction just like the move to Brooklyn.

Now they're stuck with no draft picks and got Comcast refusing to air YES Network cause their local ratings are so low.

fukk Bruce Ratner and all who call him kin. The Nets were nothing but a tool so he could make money and from day 1 you knew he didn't give a fukk about the team. I can't even hate on Prokhorov because at least he gives a crap and he was also used by the fakkit Bruce Ratner.

Also low key, as a comcast subsciber I'm glad I can't watch these Nets games.

Wait...people thought the Brooklyn Nets were going to be a real basketball team...

The whole move was a business opportunity...nothing more...nobody involved in that team gave a fukk or gives a fukk about the team winning...:russ:
