i think the nba much like how they handle flopping think giving a bigger punishment keeps things like this in the news cycle longer and thus is worse for the image of the league. i assume they may do a league wide memo to prevent it from happening in the future but like i said earlier the bigger issue is not correcting it in game. instead of being proactive with replay theyre going to continue to be reactive until a huge preventable blown call that should have been easily fixed with replay costs a team a series or a title.
