This is true and it's kind of weird. When we ask for inclusion, we usually mean representation as you would see it in real life. There'd be movies back in the day where if it's a white movie, you either don't see other races at all or if you do, it's just a token. But in an environment like a school, there's different types of schools depending on where the school is, but if it's diverse, no, it's not going to this melting pot of white, black, asian, latino with conveniently diverse sexualities all working together like that. Even if they aren't racist, they usually stick together, asians usually stick together, black people usually stick together, etc and there's gonna be people who mix in that are cool with each other but that's just how it is. Now in these shows it just feels like they are trying to complete this checklist of diversity. I like it somewhat since the media influences people and that may influence more diversity in schools, but it isn't a depiction of real life.
