I remember when Dave was having a resurgence in popularity a few years ago and then all of a sudden Chappelle Show skits were being uploaded to YouTube on the Comedy Central page after years of Viacom removing skits from YouTube. Thought that was real sketchy and honestly, I think those skits should be removed as well if he requests it.

That's stand up of Netflix to remove it when they didn't have to.

Wish I had known it was up there. I would have watched.

EDIT: After watching the full clip, he's asking us to not watch the show until he gets paid for his work. In that case, I take back what I said. I will not watch until he gets paid.

This is unfortunate but you need to fully understand contracts and the ramifications before you sign them. It sounds like a shytty deal but it is one he signed and just because you get the short end of the stick does not mean you are getting jerked. Hopefully he can get something out of this but i doubt it.
Bruh this contract was how long ago? Dave made Comedy Central what it is because of that show, it’s about getting what you are owed fukk a piece of paper.

The man can’t even use his name and likeness anywhere else either.

And since he won’t get paid because they refuse to even renegotiate, he’s asking his FANS to boycott his show.

Netflix didn’t even hesitate when he asked even though they didn’t have to, and they would’ve made millions. It’s not always about a piece of paper you signed 15 years ago at this point, its the principle of it.

He putting them on blast, now millions of fans won’t watch it which will ultimately get it pulled... or maybe they won’t pull it which is why he said the shyt in the end.

Understandable but contracts are not about what is fair but what both parties agreed to. He should of thought about this before signing regardless of his situation back then. If they are not following through on their contractual obligations then CC should be roasted, but if they are then there is nothing wrong.

Dave isn't even a comedian anymore, he is the foremost social commentator on earth.
Been that way since he came back. Which is what I loved about George Carlin and Richard Pryor. To me Dave and to a lesser degree, Bill Burr and the social commentary they give is more enjoyable than anything anyone else is doing. The jokes are cool but the conversation is so much better.

Ok
I remember Katt explaining it. Someone needs to find and put it up

Funny i think it was an early Vlad video.

And the more Dave talks, thr more it sounds true.

Dave just said he was broke and desperate when he signed.

Katt said that they never expected the show to be so successful to the tune of half a billion after the DVD sales came in.

Tried to make Dave "****** rich" instead of Seinfeld rich.

This shyt is making me mad.

I always noticed how whenever Dave does something big (like release a special, does an interview, hosts something), Chappelle Show vids from comedy central would pop up in my feed. I always chalked it up to the algorithms but I wouldn't put it past them that they have a system to milk their legacy content. It's just fukked up that they won't pay him. He has my support.
