Im terrified.

Live action and anime just don't go over well. There are too many fantastical elements and too much dynamic characterization crammed into the medium to transition well into live action.

There's nobody who could bring the snark and swag of a Hajime Saitou to real life (and he was an actual human being).

Who the fukk can pull off the lackadaisical demeanor of a Spike Speigal and yet switch up that energy and fukk somebody up when necessary?

Who can tap into Alucard's special blend of tragic psychosis and arrogance and pay homage to his sensitivity while being batshyt crazy?

Who is gonna match the sex appeal and deadliness of a Yoruichi?

It ain't happening. I'm doubtful.
It's probably gonna end up being like Joss Whedons Firefly. I believe anything is possible with the right budget. I just don't want it to start off good and end badly like the Get Down and Luke Cage

Name some animes that were turned into dope live-action versions

Because I'm expecting trash based on the ones I know of :francis:
Pokemon looks promising. I don't think Cowboy Bebop will be as challenging because it's kinda been pulled off before with shows like Star Trek, Firefly, Stargate etc.

With all due respect, none of those shows hold a candle to Bebop. Anime is not really regarded as "high art", but, if it was, Bebop might be seen as one of the best directed/framed/scored tv shows ever.

My point is the bar is set very very high. Its going to be difficult to match it

Maybe, I think the main challenge will be the casting though. A lot of the landscapes and planets on the show didn't look too much different from Earth.

smh
Spike is dead

a lot of the point in many of thw styles of anime, the slow panned large landscapes and all that is because it is too expensive to animate mostly dialog scenes.

it took so long for batman and superman and comic book movies in general to look good man i dunno about this :francis:

Someone should make a metal gear movie instead and just upgrade the graphics on the cutscenes and bossfights

Rurouni Kenshin is on point in everything except costumes, western super hero movies now make an effort not to have the make up effects and costumes look corny as fukk but in Japan... :francis:

Gantz movies are the only movies where they invested a lot in the armor and the two movies ended up being better than the anime and manga versions because imo both went to the shyts.
