Give us the steel, or we give you lead:birdman:
Not sure how this will translate as a tv show. Seems like it would make a better movie than anything.

you have never watched romanzo criminale or gommorah before have you. And it's already been a tv show it was called the wire :troll:but on the real tho making a series like this and letting it be narrated by a blonde cac who I am guessing is the cop who stops him (speaking like it's just another adventure on the beat) is not a good way to attract viewers

Exactly what you said. People in here trying to crown this shyt because they want it to be great, but after seeing that trailer:patrice: I think to do the story of Escobar justice, it would have to be dark as fukk. I don't like that it looks like it a lot of the story might be told form the perspective of an American agent either. I will check it out and reserve final judgement until it airs, but I'm not expecting a classic by any means.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2187850/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1a

"The series was created by Camilo Cano and Juana Uribe who are both closely tied with Pablo Escobar. Camilo Cano is the son of Guillermo Cano who was the publisher of newspaper El Espectador and who was murdered by Escobar in December 1986. Juana Uribe is the vice president of Caracol TV and also the series' producer. She is the daughter to Maruja Pachón who was kidnapped by Pablo Escobar on 7 November 1990 and later released. Juana is also the niece to presidential candidate Luis Carlos Galán who was killed by Escobar in August 1989."

If you want to watch probably the best TV series that documents the times of Pablo Escobar, you need to check out Escobar, El Patron del mal (Godfather of Evil). It's on Netflix and over 70+ episodes of approx. 45 mins in length. In Spanish, but there are English subtitles. Completely done from the Colombian perspective. No US-glorified and overstatements of involvement of the situation.

There are many cases where dramatic license is taken, such as names changed (Ochoas, Cali Cartel - Rodriguez brother, Carlos Leyda, Griselda Blanco, etc.), minor events downplayed or over-emphasized (considering who created the series).

If you thought ESPN's 30 for 30 episode of "Two Escobars" was classic material, then you need to watch this. If you can sit through subtitles, this series ranks way up there and probably would be a more accurate depiction of the entire timeframe and characters involved.

That being said, I'll probably watch this Narcos series, but just to see the fukkery that they'll stick in there. Plata or ploma (either choose the bribe money or the lead bullet) was real.

The white mans probably there to show the impact cocaine had on Miami.

These dudes had so much drug money that they literally didnt know what to spend it on and just started buying land and developing it like crazy.

Looks a little overstylized and a little too cliched.....I would prefer a darker, bloodier take, like Michael Mann with Nicholas Wending Refn or something in that vein.....realism, but beautiful too. This looks serviceable, but I will check it out regardless.
Yea it was a bit too shiny and glossy and kinda gringoized

Peeping that second trailer confirms that I'm gonna be disappointed in this show. It's a stylistic issue. They're trying to make it look too "cool"
