i just couldn't believe that
brendan couldn't get a new trial despite all the evidence they had that his own lawyers sabotaged him. really fukked up. that kid was doomed at birth with his brain and his fukkin retarded ass mom too.

i can go either way on avery tbh. it's very evident whoever killed the girl though brendan gave a false confession that didn't match the evidence whatsoever.

but the nephew shouldn't be charged at all because nothing matches up with the confession there's absolutely no blood anywhere in the house or evidence of a cover up in the house, and these people are nowhere near smart enough to hide all the evidence that would be present on the scene from his confession
Yeah man that kid couldn't hide a skittle in a jar full of m&ms.

Just watched all it in 24 hours and man was it crazy.

I really hope Steve and Brendan get out. I thought Steve's lawyers, who were actually very good lawyers, vigorous in their defence, raised a reasonable doubt with respect to their case. I think these juries in small towns aren't to be trusted. Always better to be judged by a metropolitan society

I finished and mannnn :( I had hopes it'll be a happy ending. I wanna believe Steven didn't do it but why the fukk would Branden totally make up that shyt? :what:how stupid can u be?

Me and you wouldn't do such a thing, but he's not all there in the head. He thought if he tells them whatever they wanna hear he'll go home. It's like a child having to admit to his mother he broke the vase, she'll forgive him with no punishment. He looked at it in that way.

He couldn't appreciate the seriousness of the situation. For goodness sakes he was asking the cops if he can head back to school after he just confessed to a murder.

What the cops were applying was the Reid Technique. Many false confessions have led to wrongful convictions.

The Interrogation Room - Episodes - the fifth estate

That's a 45 minute documentary that aired last year with regards to murder in the Toronto area. Check it out. Cat gave kinda the same false confession like Brendan and he was an intelligent human being

I view that more as depressing and unfortunate than "stupid motherfukker" :yeshrug:

Fair enough, the kid didn't stand a chance being raised by that bytch. I could argue that he should have learned this himself in school but the kid cleary has some sort of learning difficulty that wasn't addressed. :manny:

Finished this shyt last night...this shyt is a god damn experience...i think both are innocent....this is a small town where everyone knew everybody...the averys where the outcast white trash part of town....throw in a bit of good old Christian hypocrisy and outrage and you have a whole town motivated to "clean itself" of the junkyard family..

The state had NO EVIDENCE that wasnt surrounded with shady shyt....the two things that convinced me of innocence is... no significant dna traces found in the garage/trailer....the phone calls he was having while he was supposedly doing all this...

The vial of blood is mad suspect and i think some of the cops should be in jail..

The Jinx is super dope. Watched all 6 episodes in one sitting.
Well that's the beauty/curse of Netflix since they drop all their shows on release date instead of episodic content. I'll more than likely do that for both Documentaries and enjoy.
