600Turkish Lira = 43.36 = 3 dollars and 58 cents a month

Just need to do these steps once

1. turn on vpn (NordVPN free trial, windscribe etc.) and set location to turkey - create a new netflix account so when you sign up its a turkey netflix account

2. turn off vpn buy turkish netflix giftcards
you can buy them here https://www.g2a.com/netflix-gift-card-100-tl-turkey-i10000006307013

3. turn on VPN again to turkey and redeem giftcards

4. after a month you can add a credit card and it will start deducting from there with turkey pricing or continue just loading with giftcards ( i just buy enough giftcards for the year and :blessed: )

you never have to turn on your vpn after so you get regular netflix aka if you’re in America you get American Netflix

you can do the same method for spotify as well.

Bruh. That was the plan all along. Attract customers with cheap pricing once the the customer base is big enough and for better or worse dependant on your service increase the price incrementally. That infrastructure and all those employees ain't gonna pay for themselves :yeshrug:

That’s usually how it works yet people fall for it everytime :ld:

I don't like when this happens because typically what happens next is that their competitors do the same.

How we let them charge more for 4K content too?

I'm saying all this and I've been using my mother-in-law's account for over half a decade.

This doesn’t bother me because I can still just turn off Netflix if they have nothing and turn it back on
I never have a streaming service just billing me for no reason. If I haven’t used said service halfway through the month out you go.
Still better than cable

ehh, it's "problematic" to me as the more they raise prices also coincides with me watching and enjoying less content on netflix. shyt was lit in 2014, it was worth the 9.99...flix is so trash to me now, yet it costs $6 more for me to have about 4 originals i fukk with and some standup. it also aint 2014 no more when netflix was the only TV sub nikkas was paying for...

Well cancel.
:heh:

That's why streaming is still heads and shoulders above cable cause you can cancel and get it back whenever you want without being tied into anything.

People are too stupid to know how to advantageously work streaming (not you specifically people in general). Unlike cable streaming service shows are going to live on the platform forever. If you're a price watcher type dont subscribe to all of them at once. But people sub to all of them at once cause they think they're gonna miss something :heh: sub watch what you want then drop it for another one rinse and repeat.
Aint enough time to watch all that TV anyway unless you retired like my mamma :heh:

Even you have to know that it's only a matter of time before those streaming companies try and find a way to lock in customers long term to keep subscribers and fudge the numbers. There was a reason why cable was created in the first place and all of these streaming services are going to lead to exactly that again.

But they don't so to fret "oh no in the future they may lock us in" is stupid at this point.
And even then its still 100 times better than cable because with streaming you still have an entirely wider choice of what and when and how much you want to watch.
Especially when cable doesn't offer you shyt to watch in the 1st place and to go from streaming back to cable is the absolute worse when you realize you gotta sit through stupid fukking commercials. Skipping them shyts is worth $20 a month :scust:

We'll revisit this discussion at a later date and see if you still have that same consistency in your comments.

I dont know what we need to wait for a later date for but I can tell you now my opinion aint gonna change.
I know you wanna be the chicken little sky is falling dude who comes back 5 years from now and say I told you so but ill tell you this 5 years in advance of that, I dont care.
Yall treat this shyt like its a necessity when its not and its not that important. Either sub or dont but complaining about it is stupid cause the choice is 100% on you.

The thing is the majority of the world don't have time for all that nor care to do this. They just rather pay the $15-20 bucks and press play
