Anybody else have too many services? :patrice:

I have Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney +, plus cable w/ HBO, Cinemax, Starz, and Showtime. Not to mention the free apps...:wow: :what:

I feel like I spend more time browsing through different services than I do actually watching shyt. :mindblown:

You ain't the only one. I'm about to cut Hulu. Only got it because it was 1.99 last year. Netflix and Disney aren't mine. I really only use YouTube TV. Certain things on Prime Video are free but they shouldn't be. That 64.99 for YouTube TV fukks me up everytime I see the charge. I mostly just want local TV for games and news, a few cable channels as well. I might look into Sling and just cut YouTube TV.

What's really trippy is seeing the different content other countries get when you use a VPN to stream Netfllix. :leon:

So I should buy 1 then? They have caption right?

:dwillhuh:

VPN as in Nord, or something included with your anitvirus software, B. Download one, set it to a different country, login to Netflix and watch what they can see in their country.

It's a shyt-ton of good movies on Nflx in Canada and the UK right now that we can't watch. :upsetfavre:

Folks are just spoiled, D+ would love to have a fraction of new stuff like what Netflix put out this year
Netflix is going to win many Emmys this year with Queens Gambit and/or The Crown
Netflix is going to have multiple movies nominated for Oscars
Netflix had multiple times this year where something on their platform trended for days and got a lot of positive attention (TIger King, Extraction, Old Guard, Queens Gambit, 5 Bloods, Chicago 7, Enola Holmes, Ma Rainys Black Bottom, The Crown, Bly Manor, Cobra Kai, Unbrella Academy and many more)

Nah. Most folks aren’t cancelling Netflix in lieu of Disney +. Just an add-on to split time watching between. Netflix sees much more competition from HBO in actually decreasing retention, because they produce quality mature content.

As someone who works in this industry. From an in-house production standpoint at scale + streaming optimization Netflix is still a couple years ahead of their competition. They still got a ways to go. And they don’t pay nearly as well as Netflix so maybe longer than that :mjlol:

They will run Marvel and Star Wars into the ground to stay afloat until then though

This.

The 2 will eventually coexist, but in the meantime Netflix has a decade+ headstart in content creation, and by design will have more diverse content.

I love Marvel, and Star Wars is hit or mostly miss for me...but if that's all they're gonna hang their hat on, they're going to be Nintendo status to me. Great for nostalgia and the occasional groundbreaking series, but at this point I'd take Netflix over Disney+ for their documentaries alone.
