Even if McCain won, I think you misunderstand the power of the Vice Presidency. Palin literally would have had nothing to do with policy or any day to day operations of the country as VP. So there would be nothing to explain.

Just like Mike Pence. All he is, is Trump's lapdog. He literally has nothing to do with any kind of policy, except what Trump trots him out there and tells him to do.

Same thing with Biden and Kamala and why I'm not worried about her. She will have nothing to do with policy or day to day operations, except what Biden tells her to do.

I do agree with you about the reasons why McCain chose her, and I think he tried to do then what the Dem party is doing now: Picking a young female VP to excite the country. Except it backfired in 2008

I’m well aware VP are powerless figureheads there for the diplomat visits the president doesn’t want to go to and the occasional senate tie breaking vote. Still, when people saw he picked her and realized how wholly unqualified she was if she ascended to the presidency, everyone went I mean McCain had no chance anyway but the debate and Tina Fey solidified it. But VP picks are very important in campaigns. Which is where i disagree with you on Biden/Harris. Everyone knows Biden is senile. He says he’s transitional and most people who were polled think he won’t last his first term. That’s why Trump, the rethugs and their media drones are going hard right now.

I know that. But McCain had expressed aggression against Iran, NK, China, and Russia. Dude was a quintessential war hawk. His biggest selling point at that time was his support for the surge. People loved to praise him for his occasional bipartisan gestures and being a POW but dude was a trash senator. That campaign finance bill got overturned with the whole citizens untied shyt and actually allowed the opposite of what the bill intended(along with possibly costing fiengold) I won’t really go there with how he became a Bush lap dog after they trashed him and his daughter in 2000. What about him appealed to you in 08?

tbh, I thought Obama was a c00n in 2008. Look at it from my point of view... I grew up in a very militant household. My entire life, I've been taught that ain't no way a black man would ever become president of the United States unless he was a complete sell-out. So here comes this dude named Barack Obama, out of nowhere... I'm a studious and well learned person, and I had never ever heard of this cat. But here he comes out of nowhere and magically gets propelled to the front of the pack of Democratic contenders.

Had me cause there had to be a catch. This was too good to be true.

And with America being the Babylon, all this talk about hope and change just HAD to be a lie. So I was against it. I didn't buy into the hype. I had arguments with lovers about it at the time. Me and this girl I was talking to nearly fell out over Obama. She was supporting him and I was just at the thought of voting for what I thought was an Uncle Tom.

Then he got elected. I was still skeptical but he was the President now, and so there was nothing I could do about it.

so I watched. I watched and I watched.

And I came to discover that Obama was a real brotha. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that white ppl actually elected an authentically black man, a man who appeared to be decent and really cared about the American ppl, a black man who wasn't an embarrassment, shucking and jiving for a hot buttered biscuit.

It blew my mind And I've been a strong supporter ever since. Even with all of the opposition he faced from white folks, he lifted this country out of a recession that could have lasted a decade. But Obama sewed it up in like a year or so.

Dude was really a savant. Of course, he had to be, cause when have white folks ever hired a black man for a job that he was qualified for? No, we have to be OVERqualified to get in a position that we are qualified for, and Obama proved it time and time again, how easy the presidency was for him. Dude was just more intelligent than his white opposition.

He really made me proud, man. You don't know how proud I was once I figured out that he was truly a decent man, with good character, and who truly wanted the best for this country.

And in 2012, probably one of my most proudest moments was voting for him. When they called the election, I was hollering and shouting like a thot blasting Nas and Jeezy "my president is black" and Nas "black president"

I honestly don't think Kamala has what it takes to win a presidential campaign, so I'm not even worried about that. She would get eaten alive during a serious presidential run.

I'm only concerned with the Presidential pick himself. I don't think Biden is senile. sure he's slowed down a bit, but if you've ever been around an actual senile person, you would know that Biden isn't senile.

My granddad was senile before he passed... so I know what senility looks like up close and personal.

Deciding not to vote in a year where there is a highly contagious killer virus on the loose, that has killed 168,000 Americans, a third of which are black, and the current president is saying that "it is what it is"... and you say that I'm being hypocritical?

I've been very honest from the start of this thing. If there wasn't a pandemic happening, I wouldn't care what happens in this election. But when there is a pandemic that has affected ME, affected hundreds of posters on the coli, then yes, I'm going to tell you that this ain't an election that you can sit out.
