Uncertain grounds
To be clear, John McCain, Sarah Palin, and the rise of the Tea Party, ultimately laid the foundations for Trump. You may hate Trump but if you supported McCain/Palin, then he's a monster of your own making.

Perot laid the groundwork in some ways if u want to take it further back. I think Trump was reform party or flirted with the reform nomination before as well

While im somewhat inclined to agree..I do wonder what McCain would have done if trump didnt disrespect the shyt out of him early on. I'm not fully convinced McCain would have been all that defiant

I would like to think that McCain was a true patriot. I was actually researching him last week, and dude was legit from being captured in Vietnam, to even what he did when he came back over here.

He liked women a lil too much (but heck, I like women a lil too much :mjlit:)

I think dude was thorough when it came to his love for the ideals of his country tho.

McCain didn't give rise to the Tea Party.

The Tea Party came about because of white folks racism regarding the first black president, nothing more, nothing less. If Palin wasn't there, it still would have happened.

He did nothing to quell the Tea Party and shut it down.

He allowed Palin to run with the rhetoric without telling her to tone it down.

He himself was not using TP rhetoric but he allowed Palin to do so to galvanize extreme far right supporters.

I feel part of him standing up for Obamacare had a lot to do with the fact that he felt guilty for enabling the Tea Party.

He was really in a position to shut it down. He didn't.

Breh, I think your timeline is a lil messed up.

McCain was the republican nominee in 2008. The Tea Party didn't rise up until 2010, two years later. By that time, McCain had no voice - at least not in the way of being able to shut down a radical wing of the Republican party.

After his failed presidential bid, he went back to being just another Republican senator.

Kinda like Hillary Clinton... she is a failed presidential candidate, and in 2018, she had no power within the Democratic Party. She was just a former nominee, that's all.

https://www.thecoli.com/threads/one...staceys-mom-has-just-died-from-corona.770286/

But at the same time, he watching page views and statistics for popularity purposes instead of mourning in his alleged grief??

This thread has over 2000 views just in the last couple hours. This forum has more reach than most ppl think.

Had a talk today with a respiratory doctor that's on the front lines in my area and he's saying that the patients he's mostly seeing are black men.:wow::mjcry:

A 36 year old brother died last night :mjcry:
Then he claims that his cousin died on April 30th .. hmmm. Lot of coincidences.

Wow, they told me you were insane, but I honestly thought brehs was reading you wrong at first.

For you to pull up 4 threads by me, 2 of which were about personal situations that I had, and the other 2 were about stuff that I read in the news just like everybody else, and then try to say that that proves a conspiracy?

wow.

Yeah, you're definitely a woman. Irrational and crazy when you get emotional :francis:

McCain was head and shoulders above Trump.

Heck, Bush was head and shoulders above Trump.

Neither one of them had a record of 168,000 American deaths that could have been avoided.

Now you want to compare apples and oranges as if Trump and McCain are synonymous, when McCain didn't F with Trump when he was alive, and told people not to vote for that fool.

McCain and Trump had beef from jump, and even had beef after McCain died. Trump STILL talks trash about McCain cause he hates him.

They are not the same.

lol

So if what the black man did sucks, then why are you mad at me for not voting for him in 2008? :what:

:dahell: So one policy failure negates an entire 8 years? I would take a half baked public health care plan over perpetual wars in Iran. Bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran. Don’t forgot that cac was against a federal MLK holiday :mjpls:

And you can keep running that McCain wasn’t Trump comparison all you want too. We remember all the dog whistles especially during the late stages where his campaign keep bringing up Hussein. Even John Lewis had to check his ass. The fact that he picked Palin appeal to the mouth breathing bigots that Trump owns says a lot about McCain.

In 2008, most of the Democratic candidates running for office supported the war in Iraq because Bush gave them false info.

And Obama was against reparations. What is your point? :jbhmm:

I believe and still do that if McCain had done more research, there ain't no way in hell he would have picked Palin.

There was no Palin appeal when he first picked her. Nobody knew her nationally, so she didn't appeal to mouth breathing bigots or anybody else since she wasn't known and so that couldn't have been the reason he chose her. :gucci:

but yeah, at the time, I thought it was a bad choice, but I figured maybe a full presidential campaign with advisors getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars knew something I didn't know.

Newsflash: They didn't :unimpressed:
