Is he part time or full? I figure the schedule's lighter with AEW so he might be full, if he's part time then eh I don't feel as good about him back. But that's just because I don't like the part timer concept in general since it makes the business more predictable

And funny you brought that up bc I was waiting on somebody to comment on the promos so far

I know he's older but the matter of fact firecracker (pun intended) is CM Punk, you're supposed to know you're the best and that's why Vince & the machine can't fukk with you. The whole coming back to see if I still have it is weak, makes even less sense after the Rampage promo when he told Darby the most dangerous thing he can do is step in a ring with you. How do you go from that to wanting to see if you still got it the following Wednesday? You pull something getting up on the ropes after 7 years and felt it the next morning or something?

Very lackluster so far imo but of course it's only been 2 appearances

10-12 matces a year is what i heard…so with 4 big ppvs u might 7-8 matches on tv a year.

It's cool he's back because nostalgia all but nah...

So we've already seen the best of him then. We'll see what he has left in the tank on the 5th but his work as far as story building, we've already seen his peak if he's PT. Pretty sure we've already seen his peak work rate too, what is he almost mid 40s now?

He needed to be on TV every week developing the story, instead this feels like he's an added ingredient to make Jungle Boy & Darby legitimate rather than "saving" AEW. And if I cared about either one I would've already been watching but it's clear that's his role

Makes sense given his comments before signing about getting upset at people calling wrestling fake in the past but calling it fake all the time now, it's still disappointing. Seems like Tony backed a Brinks truck up he couldn't refuse so now instead of spending most his days drinking Mango Pepsi with April he'll make some time to be a part time bus driver for AEW.

Darby and Punk need to have a face to face physical confrontation before the PPV because it feels like Darby is feuding with that Garcia dude instead of punk
