. I remember when the Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z were in development. It was a big fukking deal. I'm trying to think of anything else generating that level of buzz lately, maybe Supra notwithstanding.
I tried playing this game and was so annoyed with the friggin bugs that I tapped out.

Had 3 colossal failures (the 1st one happened before it started recording the race) still almost got 1st place.

Online is so much more fun than the campaign. Got me working hard just to finish 3rd and get 4k a session

Yeah online is were it's at. Criterion just announced that they're doing another year of game updates. The next update drops next week.
peaked way back in the carbon/underground era. Im about to start this new with hesitation, but i dunno…
trash. i tried it for the same reason.
After putting a good 30min into it, im disappointed. its dated. it would have been fine for 2010; but the modern competition in this space is too high. Car design is meh. car physics is mediocre. City scape is cheap. map is small. Ai mechanics are meh. If you release a non-arcade car game in the modern era you gotta be competitive with both forza horizon and gta. And this simply isnt it.
What bothers me is he incredible amount of resources EA has to throw at games, and the incredible potential that this franchize has. This is underachieving at its finest
