It doesn't really surprise me. The average Japanese person out here, male and female (especially male), are pretty homely, same-y looking. The average Japanese chick is nothing I'd be quick to want to run home to. Plus alot of them have a lot to gain in the dental department. You can find the horny young baddies out in Roppongi, Harajuku, etc though. They're definitely not having this sexless problem.

In their defense it's the norm in their country for employers to work you like a slave; the typical "Salaryman" would look at union employees in the Northeastern US as a bunch of slackers.

Japan's probably the only country comparably wealthy as the US that has worse labor conditions ... maybe Korea if we're counting them.
