@Grams good drop on that documentary. We should also remember in addition to it mentioning the population will likely drop by a third in 40 years.....that this is also in the top 5 of economies.
you saw that time magazine cover months ago on on that chinese president xi jingping talking about how he has become a strongman like putin and possibly the most iconic leader there since mao zhedong. this may seem trivial to mention but have you noticed japan is one of the only infamous and famous nation that literally has not had ANY transformative leaders in the "modern era". not saying you need one to move forward all the time but i think now is a good time they could use one...
usually we all get annoyed when old folks complain about young but in this case i can't fault too much. china is also experiencing big problems...but i think the key difference is pride in nationalism. it seems like the young japanese dont have japanese pride and that is what alot of the older folks are dissapointed about
on the bright side tho african nations are having an increase in the youth population and the youngest overrall continent in age
its all going according to plan...now we just gotta take care of germany
