In some ways they were more intelligent than us. For example, they were able to remember exactly where important food resources were buried under snow for long periods of time.

As far as the ethical question, we're probably the ones that killed them off so .

Thats because they had to culturally. They clone that neanderthal it wont look any different from some white folks in trailer parks. Wont be like he retains all his super powers from the neanderthal age, living in modern times.

there is no reason to believe that the Neanderthal couldn't be able to do anything a human can do...........remember that they actually have larger brains than us humans......it would be a fallacy to assume that we are the pinnacle of evolution

although our arrival killed them off......its not clear that we killed them because we were superior.......for all we know we just got lucky and brought new diseases into Europe that the Neaderthals didn't have defenses for........sort of like what happened to the Aztecs when the Conquistadors came

I don't disagree that it should not be studied. I just think its wrong to assume that it will be less intelligent than us. There is no evidence that Neanderthals were less intelligent than humans. We just assume that because they died off when we came into Europe. And like I said earlier, it could've been simply that we brought in new diseases which killed them off. Rather than us being superior.

no....white people are the same as us......we are all descended from one species of humans that evolved in Africa 200,000 years ago

what you might be referring to is that SOME people of European descent seem to have genes that came from Neanderthals.....now that doesn't mean that all or even most Europeans are descended from Neanderthals.....it just means that before Neanderthals went extinct in Europe some of our African ancestors had sex with them and gave rise to human/Neanderthal hybrids
