Spread Option game is gonna be scary this year with a good QB/RB combo. I just gashed the fukk out of USC's D. 120 with Barner, 50 with Thomas, 60 with Bennett. Still some stupid ass AI, as my OLinemen missed a few open space blocks that woulda sprung me for huge gains. 3 blockers let 1 defender twice blow up a screen, and on 2 run plays, pulling guards just decided to not block the edge guy. Stupid.

Other than that though, so far so good I guess. The Read Option game is pretty deadly. No hitch in the QB now on keepers, and you can really play off the DE now (which is how it should be). If he crashes, there's yards for the QB. Got a couple of good gainers on that, and the givee to Barner was money. Also, the best run play from last year looks just as good this year = the Buck Sweep. Thomas especially is nasty on that play, cause his speed is  status.

One nice thing I saw was, I started out runrunrun. I hit 'em with some good RO's, then went to the play fake, and the safety bit pretty hard, giving me an easy 50 yard TD pass. Nice to see. One bad thing I saw, was the good ole fashioned route mirroring in full force. Their LB's were pretty much psychic on plays. I wish they would fix that.

One other thing...I'm not sure if it was like this on the 360 last year, but on the PS3, the No Huddle was frustrating to run, as there was a pause in the game whenever you ran it. No issue with that in the demo, as everything was smooth. Hopefully that means it will be fixed in the PS3 version also.

:angry::angry:

FWIW, just from the demo, this game does play different than last years. QB passing seems way better to me. You actually have control of where the ball goes. You can literally throw a WR open, which was shocking to me. The defense plays different, and @Sub, I haven't seen any Superman plays yet out of anyone on D. I know it's a small sample size, but it seems almost that they got rid of that at the expense of having GREAT coverage. DB's do seem to actually track the ball also, as I made a few throws that woulda been knocked down/picked last year that were neither, as the DB didn't magically know the ball was coming.

With that said, if you understand how to read a defense, offense should be simple. Running the ball is soooooooooooooooooo easy. They'll probably end up nerfing it through updates it's so easy. I made some nice throws with QB's. The corner route seems to be there when I want it. Crosses are a little tougher cause of the coverage, but if your QB has the arm/accuracy, like I said earlier, you should be able to throw him open.

Again, small sample size, but besides the issues with the coverage, and OLineman missing obvious blocks, the demo plays pretty damn good.

@triplehate, you should know by now that Madden gets first dibs on new shyt, and NCAA is always a year behind.

@MMS, Auburn's not running the spread no more? Well, so much the better in real life, as they sucked last year trying to run it.

Whooaa why the fukk not??

Because of Maddens new connected career mode, they didnt want to chance messing something up.

So it got the axe. :skip:

Oh, and it's available in the PSN store now. 1.8gb on the 360, but 3.4gb on the PS3? What the hell...

Ok, shyt's already too easy. In the last 6-8 games I've played (all with Oregon), I threw a max of 4 incompletions. Being able to throw where I want makes it very easy to pass. If you have half a brain, and get a few seconds to throw, there should be no reason for you to not complete a pass. Add that into the way too easy running game, and there's gonna be tons of yards and points put up in this game.

Oh, and I downloaded for PS3, it was installing, and all of a sudden got an error. Now I have to redownload the whole damn thing again :aicmon:

Played through the three games CPU scored a total of 5 points. 2 by KSU and 3 by bama. I scored at least 30 in all 3 games. The heisman shyt I went 21-29 for 415 and 7 tds(2 ots). I haven't played this game in two years. Thinking about canceling the pre order, shyt seems to easy.

gus malzahn went to Arkansas state

and we hired Scott Loeffler(Temple, Michigan, Florida) who runs a majority pro set

there are spread plays and Kiehl Frazier is a dual threat tho :manny: gonna be interesting how they rated us offensively. As long as the RBs are rated the way they should and Lutzenkirchen is a top 3 TE ill be just fine :mjpls:

NCAA 11 was solid. Didn't think 12 showed much improvment. Now it's 13 and the game is stagnate.

There's a few good improvements but overall game is same old same old. That's not good enough considering what Madden's doing. NCAA just an avg football game.

CPU still looks retarded so game will only be worth playing in Online Dynasties. The slow motion matrix shyt in Heisman mode is a joke, no idea why they waste time on gimmicks.
