Horrible. But what I don't get is how black people are still surprised by this kind of thing. Have we not enough historical precedent?

:camby: When you stop being surprised you've become complacent.

Basically you've become your average new yorker.

Yea because continuing to say "oh why Lord why" has helped black people thwart the attempts at our disenfrachisement. How about being wary instead of being surprised by something that is not surprising? :ld:

Wary? What the fukk does that mean, as it relates to someone being murdered by a deranged cop? How do you apply wariness?

*a you heard that nikka got killed by that cop*

*yea, im wary*.

Very clever. Wary meaning an understanding of how black people are perceived by the larger society. Not as a means of justification, but as a means of knowing that there is pronounced history of this type of thing happening. And then using that as fuel to create resources for our community based on that to hopefully alleviate the issues we face due to discrimination within said society.

In this unfortunate circumstance, there is nothing much anyone could have done...and I'm not speaking to the incident itself. What I am speaking to is the constant "I can't believe this happened :sadcam:" that black folks continue to experience as if this kind of story where an innocent black person is killed is somehow a new, unheard of story each time.

By the way, I'm sure you're doing something to thwart such unfortunate occurrences from happening again since you're not complacent as I am. Please enlighten me.

Peace

So in the meantime while we wait for our people to create resources for our community, when nikkas get shot by cops what do you feel the reaction should be

A you heard that nikka got shot?

Yea, not surprised they always killing us

True

*yea but anyway i DESTROYED this nikka in 2k last night*

Just seems ridiculous. If someone close to you got killed by police and they were innocent, you'd want people to be outraged. I dont know 1 reason why you wouldnt.

I'm not saying to not be outraged or want justice. What am I saying is "then what." Black people have years of being outraged at the treatment we have received and guess what: nothing has changed because black people are still being killed.

I would never tell a fellow black person to not be angry at the injustice we experience, however getting upset and marching, praying or screaming in courtrooms does nothing to change the outcome.

So, after all that, then what? What do we do? What changes do we make within our modus operandi to better equip and shield our community?

Well we dont have those issues with police to the extent you have them on the east coast and looking at the history out here, it shows that some people are passive when they're violated and others are not. Less incidents happen among non passive people so its obvious what needs to be done on the east coast, its just that east coast nikkas are cowards and are afraid to fight back.

You don't have police issues to that extent in LA? So there are countless stories of dudes getting that work by LAPD? :comeon:

And I wouldn't qualify rioting and destroying your own towns and communities in South Central LA as the best form of police prevention either. You one of them 'West Coast is the best coast" type dudes?

Those werent black businesses, those were korean, chinese and european businesses primarily. The people who have moved into the community, taken money from black people then gone back to their own respective communities to their houses. Since black people dont really own shyt, those riots are actually bad for business and insurance companies so they are avoided. What do they have to worry about on the east coast? Yall wont shoot the corrupt cop and you wont riot but you will you know, send all the women out with picket signs. Few men in sight. shyts sad.

1st Round Playoff Exits
And they will continue killing the HEADS OF OUR HOUSEHOLDS or locking them up....

We as black men have to start standing up against this bullcrap. This is just plain outrageous. No need for my man to be shot 10 effing times man...no need whatsoever

It's almost comical. Whites hate blacks with a passion, but any attempt by us to separate from them and have some form of sovereignty is meant with violence.

They just want ownership of us.
Forgot to add the black panthers in Oakland...
