Could it be because being on "screen" (or even being in charge on screen) is being normalised and becoming increasingly less glamorous in a process has been sped up by the pandemic.
When you have "stars" zooming, on IG, on tiktok, on twitterm on onlyfans like everyone else it blurs and changes what people see as desirably famous, what's special and what's not.
When a-n-other can produce a show or music video that's up there with the professionals it makes them increasingly comparable.
When sports commentators, actors and late night TV hosts are broadcasting from their homes like the "youtube famous" they start to functionally resemble each other, in terms of service offered, respectability and for certain ones even status.
And compounding all of that, the great leveller, social media allows for the perception of direct contact with all of the above.
If the mood took you, you could instantly tweet someone as renowned as Barack Obama, Beyonce, Donald Trump*, and that also undermines their specialness.
The queen rarely speaks for a reason. They maintain an air of mystery for a reason. Preservation of their position in society.
