No No & No, the show was trash and this was not racially motivated. It was a complete ripoff of the Steve Harvey Show and everyone saw right through it.
Show wasn't trash, that is your opinion
2nd yes it was racially motivated, it actually had higher ratings or a higher rating peak than the Carmicheal show, but in general both shows had better ratings than some of the more premier shows that NBC picked up. Instead of making room for both shows, NBC said they were going to pick one show or the other and chose the Carmicheal show, as if its too much to have two shows with majority black casts and black leads.
‘Mr. Robinson’ Ratings On Par In Final Week; Will NBC Comedy Get Renewal?

Wasn't a rip off of steve harvey show either, unless you want to say steve harvey was a rip off of hanging with mr. cooper.

You are desperately trying to make a case for a show that was universally panned even by black critics, the ratings were on par with other mediocre shows but those shows had more powerful people behind it. The show was 10-15yrs too late when those shows were hot, and you're telling me that a show were a musician takes a job at a high school to teach music isn't a ripoff of Steve Harvey?:mjlol: The cast could've worked but the concept is outdated.

The show had higher ratings than Carmicheal show. I seriously don't understand what you don't understand, it had a audience that would put it higher than a lot of shows on BET already and people liked it, whether you or the critics liked it, millions of people tuned in every week to watch it.

So when I say I don't know why BET doesn't pick it up, when it has a higher audience than Carmicheal, when people liked it, where it had ratings to be renewed but was only cancelled because of the arbitrary decision by NBC to limit the amount of shows with black leads, makes no sense to me.

The saw was literally based on Craig's real life, you know that right?

Why would BET pick it up? If racism is your arguing point then you would know that BET is not in the business for black folks anymore, outside of Being Mary Jane they don't care about positive black shows. NBC(as well as everyone else) liked the Carmichael show better so they kept it. Mr. Robinson was garbage and i've heard no one except you complain about it being gone.

Why wouldn't they pick it up, they still target blacks, Mr. Robinson had pretty good minority viewership and a base that could bring to themselves. I wouldn't sayd Being Mary Jane is positive but it is irrelevant to my point about why they should opt to pick up a black comedy with a fan base like they did The Game.

As for NBC them liking Carmicheal is irrelevant to me more than the fact that the notion of having to reasonably rated shows with black leads was one too many for them, but is never that way with their white shows.

If you never heard someone who liked the show, now you have, want a cigar?

Never heard someone get so offended by someone liking a show and wanting to see it on air like you have.

It had better ratings than the carmicheal show which is still on. I understand that part is going over your head, so feel free to proceed.

We need more positive black shows on TV. I hope this does well but they need to stop casting the same woman for the mom roles...I can't get into a show or movie when I just watched the same actors play 10 different roles. I like to watch unknown actors because it makes the storyline more interesting and believable.
