Nba2k, men, and rage: A roundtable discussion

I just got done playing a team up game. Long story short, we won, they lost. They in the party getting swagged on. Like the good sport I am, I tell all the guys "good game". I get no little response, I'm thinking, ight that's cool, I get they're salty, I feel no way cause I tried to be cool about it. Then my boy says "I had 14 assists with (jrue) holiday." and I said "no thanks to me". The cat who was guarding me said "fukk outa here, Elton brand only had 10 points" mind you, all I did was spot up n shoot from 17 feet, who's fault is that? Now he starts calling me all types of p*ssy n whatnot, all comedy to me. I clown him into silence, then dip out the party to go to the gym.


But this isn't the only time this has happened to me, or anyone who has played nba2k. And I notice 2k brings out the WORST in men. Like, cats out here rage like they have a 3rd testicle. This is the only game I've ever seen do that to people.

2k that game brings the rage outta me sometimes cuz of the damn AI on his i cant miss shyt

but 2k ain't got shyt on MADDEN FAM people on madden be ready to gun up

Fifa @ my nikkas pad had people dropping bombs on each other. Like personal shyt, it was crazy. We started choosing fifa over the club at one point. it got that real.

play Halo online. That shyt is real when it comes to trash talk, bickering and raging.

Also default 2k even playing on simulation settings is cheap as fukk. I hate playing 2k online, way too many bogus plays happen. I seen a nikka drop 80 points with westbrook against my boy. I was mad because duke was playing on my gamertag and he got abused by a cheeser. The nikka was raging so hard, I felt bad for him, because he was terrible at defense.

Which is why NBA 2K11 was the better game IMO.

They made the art of shooting way too easy in 2k12. I noticed that from the first moment I popped the game in.

Playing on All star/simulation in 2k12 is equivalent to playing on Rookie/Casual in 2k11

2k11 was overall the better and more challenging game.

lmaooo you aint lying.. nikkas dont play when it comes to madden and 2k.. have seen grown men ready fight teenagers, nikkas talking shyt about nikkas wifeys, jobs, mothers, etc.

it dont help that nikkas be watching laughing.. nikkas on the sidelines like saying "good" when the nikka thats up shoots but be like "thats off" when the loser throw one up.. nikkas giving tips like nah thats not melo shot he like the other side..

i seen my nikka down by 14 in madden and two nikkas from the neighborhood is over betting against him, both got like 40-50 on it, nikka that aint playing goes yo stop throwing it and run the clock out.. by this time its like 2 mins left my nikka gets mad picks up the betted money and throws it like inches from they faces so it slaps their faces and kickes them out the crib.. me my other mans in the background

I know all about that halo rage life, I used to rage so hard with halo 3. Especially when cats had a bad host and I would give em 5-6 clean shots only to get 4 shot by some laggy a$$hole

Nowaday I just chalk it up to the game and worry about staying alive. Cause I went to a LAN in the chi, the first thing I noticed is when I rage, im not only hurting myself by not calling out and being aware of the situation, im hurting my team.

And As far as 2k goes, I KNOW that game is fukked up badly lmao , so I go into the games knowing there's gonna be some bs, that way, im never disappointed when it actually happens

Last game my friends and I got serious about was Mario Kart on SNES.

We always played 1st to 5 wins. ALWAYS.

So one day I manage to put my boy away 5-1. I'm putting my hands in the air like "Yeah! I won!"
