Ratings will pick up once the "In Season Tournament" starts. Last year that Tournament gave the NBA a nice little ratings boost...
The NBA and other networks would like to ROI right away instead of having to wait until the mid season for ratings to increase especially with how much they are paying.

1. Basketball starts 2 early
2. Star players not playing
3. Game has become a 3pt shooting contest that become stale and boring
Starts too early, but starts too late at night for me anymore. nikka ain’t starting a game at 9-10PM anymore regardless of who’s playing. I understand the time zone and ppl needing to make it to the games on the west coast, but that ain’t got shyt to do with me waking up early in the morning. I’ll catch that first matchup if it’s good and I’m cool

Let me know when the money stops being guaranteed. That’s the ultimate sign viewership is suffering right?

I know another league where 100 million people watch every game but the player’s money is always subject to change :troll:
Amazon happy to take a loss to air NBA games with a prime subscription.
