Just got a couple games in and wow EA has made some progress here :lupe:

Graphically this looks better than 2k in a lot of areas. Gameplay is a little sluggish but I'm still learning the controls. Not bad

I've always been 2K over Live since the 2000 Dreamcast.

The only time I felt Live was better than 2K were in 05' & 06'.

Live might have finally caught back up again. :yeshrug:

It has been over 20 years and NBA Live have finally fixed the players skating around the court problem. :russ:

The court and lighting is just amazing. This game plays better than 18 but I still have a lot of issues.

The right analog stick sometime delays, you will dribble here and there and then there will be a delay/pause and your guy won't dribble, same with shooting. It doesn't feel free, and it feels like an animation.

The dunking is once again stupid in this game, way too easy for players to dunk..I had Gordan Hayward doing some crazy dunks.

I like the defense for most part, except the fastbreak defense. When you are on a fastbreak, the defense automatically catches up no matter what, they slide to their position. Blocking is also way too OP in the game and feels like an arcade game.

They need to improve the dribbling in this game, it's a huge part why it feels so stiff.

Overall I enjoyed the game though, what they are doing with their version of Park and MyPlayer is much better than 2K and way more fun.

Offensively and defensively, the iso game > 2K. Even the simple stuff looks amazing and feels rewarding.

I like the dribbling overall. It's definitely not responsive or smooth enough and the controls overall need to be better, but It's > 2K forced animations and cheese dribbling.

What I also like is that it has a skill gap/learning curve. Practice pays off because when you go up a good defender you can pull out some shyt they've never seen before. Some of the dribble combos I was trying to put together were :wow: Shamgod, step back then through the defenders' legs:scust:

The graphics and 99% of the animations look great, there is room for improvement but I can't really complain about the quality overall.

You can tell EA put a lot of the development time into passing and dribbling but that's where the decent gameplay ends IMO. Rebounding and post game is almost nonexistent and what is there, is trash. The off-ball defense needs balancing and I'm not even going to waste my time talking about the rest.

I had fun in the scrimmage mode but I won't be buying this. In a few years, when all aspects of the game are on the same level as the passing and dribbling then maybe
