Silver works for the owners, Sarver is getting a slap on the wrist because that's what they want. They all got skeletons in their closet and want to set a soft precedent for if/when they end up on the summer jam screen

A code of conduct that allows a vote to force a sale would be very interesting. Basically a divestment clause maybe mixed with a fund to help the sale along like a loan to potential owners. Though I bet they start it based on behavior post and not retroactively. Also if it did pass eventually an owner might do something egregious just to be bought out.

Yea I guess it depends on who's voting to force selling. I doubt 29 non-black owners would accept a vote by a majority black league to decide who can keep ownership. Interesting times.

I could see it being the owners exclusively. Though the players might request a vote through the NBAPA as well.

Basically it would create a situation where the owners would either loan a specific buyer money that is needed or they put the team under league management like the Pelicans used to be.
