Bulls blew the brakes off Miami in 2011 in game one. Next couple of games were close, but Miami closed it out. Game 4 was another close one that went to OT, but the Bulls still couldn’t close it out. Then in a do or die game, the Bulls were actually up late in the 4th by double digits when Bron and Wade went on a 3pt barrage. Revisionist history will look at that series that the Bulls were outmatched because they lost in 5, but people who actually watched the games in real time know the Bulls had chances in each of their losses.

That game 7 was a bad one to lose. Mike and Scotty went a combined 15-43 from the field and 15-24 from the line and Indy still couldn’t pull it off. Dale Davis going 3-10 at the line in a 5 point loss . Pacers had 12 shot attempts all 4th quarter with Reggie shooting just once :hhh:
Bad bad loss and Toni Kukoc doesn't get the credit he deserves for bailing The Bulls out that series

- 2001 Sixers vs Bucks. Iverson's Sixers were lucky to win that series and some say the refs made sure the Sixers won
- 2002 Lakers vs Kings. Obvious one
- 2007 Spurs vs Suns. The Suns were outplaying the Spurs until Horry decided to pretend he was in the MMA
- 1988 Celtics vs Hawks. Celtics were getting outplayed majority of the series, they were just too experienced and closed the show
- 1990 Pistons vs Bulls. Same with this one, Bulls outplayed the Pistons the majority of the series, but the Pistons was just too experienced
- 2018 Celtics vs Cavs. Another one. Celtics outplayed the Cavs, but the Cavs were too experienced
- 1988 Pistons vs Lakers. Pistons were dominating until Isiah Thomas got injured
- 2021 Bucks vs Nets. Bucks were lucky Kyrie got hurt and KD stepped on the line
Can I add Lakers vs Suns 2010 felt like the Suns outplayed the Lakers but fukking Ron Artest hit huge shots

Only one in history i can probably say this about. Yet i never saw every game in the series. Was the goal tend by wilt on norm van lier.
On what would have been the buzzer beater of nba lore in game seven nba finals. Where allegedly wilt found and consoled norm after the game.
That is the only time in nba history. Where you could say the team was completely hosed and had no get back at all. The other ones.
Anyone lists. There were seven full games.
Sohh trying to say a team played better and losing. Is wild as far as the nba.

If the series is close. Then the better team won.
by executing without fail.
in the moments that create.
what ultimately winning is.

I guess I know this from tennis and related it to my first love in hoops.
You have to move to the next point. Or that carryover about sumfin you have no control over and is completely over. That emotional response will ruin any point after that. All because you could not move forward to the next point. That has nuffin to do with the last point.

Move forward. The past is the past and over with. Especially in sports.
Sohh trying to apply getting completely hooked to the nba playoffs. Is similar. Especially if you know hoops history.
to know of the 80's celtics and the Boston garden. To know to have your emotions snd composure in check. Or you are going to lose.
The nba always had that ideal since the celts of my era.
Sohh to even play hoops in my era. You had to know how to conduct yourself on court. Or you would lose from that factor alone. Back in the day this was known about competing in sports. Especially being black in a white dominated market or sport or both. Sohh given what you were supposed to be privy to and up against from my era. You already had to be dialed in. To expect being cheated or hooked. That you had to perform and stay composed.
as part of giving yourself.
a chance to compete and win.
When rhe race dynamic was more prevalent in Boston for the white player on Black kc Jones coached Boston. It was more prevalent to be stoic, composed and focused. With no excuses to what fukkery would be administered. That point of detail and focus is not pr'd. Or made a point of focus and it should it. As back then in organizing sized sports. You really had to be locked in on all fronts to succeed.
Sohh an excuse for a loss. Was not tolerated. Even if racism was prevalent
To always feel like the fix was in. at the Boston garden and Utah delta center back then.

Also wanted to add. 1987 - Celtics vs Pistons
Pistons were outplaying the Celtics the majority of the series. But like always, the more experienced team won, and Larry Bird rose to the occasion in the clutch :wow: :whew:

2018 Pacers VS Cavs

Pacers outscored em 704-664 for the series. They won the only blowouts in the series but lost a couple tight games.

Refs so cheated the Pacers by missin and obvious goaltend in crucial game 5 they admitted later too

They call that goaltend and it's a much different pressure to win game down than safety cushion of bein tied and least OT. Pacers probably win and then win in 6 they blew em nikkas out next game.

Pacers outscored em, outrebounded em, out assisted em, more steals, less turnovers, 4.7% higher FG%, 3.6% higher 3PT%.... Only category Cavs won was FTs, FTA and FT%......

They didn’t have that man
