I would fear Steph and Klay with a quality supporting cast.

They already have Steph and Klay; they don't need a Luka. A young, athletic big like Wiseman would be a godsend for them.

You guys act like they didn't go to the Finals and win a title before KD arrived. :mjtf:
Nikka that was a long time ago :dead:

How many mins was that ago? These guys have had a lot of playing time and injuries since, they are not gonna be the 2016 team again if that is what you think they will be. Draymond has regressed, Klay is coming off ACL, the bench will still be horrible, and you are asking to depend on a rookie big. They will be competitive, not title favorites.
How many minutes are they playing right now? Look at the difference in LeBron this season with those extra months of rest. Guys are fine coming off ACL tears now and Klay never relied on athleticism.

Only way the Warriors become a threat to win a ring is if they somehow land Giannis. Whether is costs them the top pick, Dlo, Draymond or whoever.

But without any trades a team of
Steph (aging, injuries piling up)
Klay (one yr removed from injury)
Dray (self explanatory, he’s an average player)
Top pick (gonna take him 2-3yrs before he makes a significant impact)

That roster with no bench is not better than lakers, clippers, or probably even nuggets and rockets.

Without Giannis, the warriors aren’t winning shyt. By the time wiseman even hits his potential in 2-3yrs curry, klay and draymond will be on the downhill of their careers.

LeBron also added AD on the team and last year was the first time he was truly injured.

Curry misses time every year, their defense is also way worse with removing KD or a true wing. Teams will take turn switching on D'lo and Curry. Unless you expecting Curry to replicate his 2016 year performance, I dont see it

I think they got better draft IQ than most, and I believe thats going to have to be the way they get back nice. DLo is the obvious flip, but you almost certainly gonna have to eat a bad contract in return. Their vet FA acqs, post David West, has been :francis:

Steph is 32 with aging as a guard comes losing quickness and he has durability concerns the spacing around him is also not the same which makes him more guardable. He will be good but he is at the latter stage of his prime. :hubie:

Is D'Angelo going to be traded or is he apart of this team moving forward. He can possibly be flipped for more pieces who knows? :ld:

Klay is coming off a torn ACL and is about to hit 30. I see him having a career year next year though. Some guys come back stronger after torn ACL's and I think the Warriors will lean on him more. :ehh:

Dray is washed. :mjcry: Paschall will replace him he is a far better scorer than Dray but nowhere near the defender, passer, or rebounder.

Wiseman is still going to be a rookie one and done big at the end of the day. He is no Duncan. :ld:

The Warriors also lost one of their biggest advantages their home court. Oracle has historically been one of the loudest and most hostile and supporting environments in the league that feel just isn't felt in gentrified San Francisco.

This team isn't very good defensively on paper and doesn't seem to have much depth with not much financial flexibility. I don't fear this. I think the teams that will run the next 3 years are the Lakers with LeBron's last dominant years+AD, the Clippers with the PG-13 and Kawhi duo, the Nets when KD returns, and I believe the Raptors will acquire Giannis and will win another title.

No one is worried about the warriors right now...fake news
Exactly.. Nothing but a fluff piece for GS. The article should've named names of the teams/exects that are scared. The Dubs will definitely be better next season with Curry & Klay healthy but all the fear went out the room once Durant bounced

People definitely need to keep their eyes on the Warriors. The combo of the trade exception, midlevel, high draft pick, and D'angelo Russell they have a lot of ways to retool and add depth back to the team. There is an easy path to them becoming contenders again. I think the main factor will be how Klay returns. It's crazy to write them off as future contenders already.

I think Wiseman in 2-3 years could definitely do that. It just depends on how Curry holds up. His shot isn’t going anywhere and his game doesn’t rely on that much athleticism.
Curry should be aight if he can stay off the injury report. A quick glance at Reggie Miller and Ray Allen show they we’re still very good productive players at age 32 and continued that consistency til at least age 35

Steph has been the best shooter of all-time WITHOUT Durant. He was basically a 78-80 game per season player before the last two years (normal for a guy his size after all those runs) and the year he missed most of the season with the ankle injury.

Breh, we're Laker fans. How many people were saying the Lakers were done after last season and they wouldn't be able to improve the team? Then Pelinka absolutely killed it in the summer and they have the most loaded team in the league.

Next year GS is getting Steph and Klay back so Draymond will automatically be better. They're gonna have a top five pick at worst that will either be a valuable trade asset or land a stud like Wiseman. Let's say Gallo wants to go to a contender and takes a little less to sign with GS. All of a sudden they have him, Klay and Draymond, making their defense A LOT better than the garbage this year. You can't say this is fairy tales either because the assets LA had that everyone was trashing turned into AD, then they signed Danny Green and Dwight, completely revamping their defense.

Russell is the x-factor. He doesn't fit with what they do and I think they have to trade him. Looking around the league though, I'm not sure where a good landing spot is for him. If they can flip him for some depth, watch out.
