Hornets:

91: LJ :win:
92: Zo :obama:
99: BDiddy

2012: :scheme:

Loved those early 90s Hornets teams with LJ, Zo, and Mugsy. Next to the Bulls, they were a distant 2nd favorite Eastern Conference team of mine.

Knicks:

05: David Lee

08: Gallo I'm still :to: hes gone.

11: Shumpert

Looking at who they passed on in the past the Knicks FO was truly a bunch of fukking monkeys. :snoop:

If Gallo can stay healthy, my Nuggets might be a problem. Great international prospect. I thought Shump was one of the top 5 from last year's class.

2008 Derrick Rose - The MVP, Hometown kid who got drafted number 1 by us when when had like a 2% chance of winning the lotto. Not much needs to be said about him.

2002 Jay Williams - Yeah he only played one season for us, but had it not been for Yao Ming, he would've been the consensus #1 pick. He was POY in college, and a pretty dynamic PG...although he couldn't hit FTs. I was pretty hyped about him. He had a decent start to his rookie year...even dropped a triple double on Jason Kidd with like 24, 14 and 13. He got injured, and when he came back, Cartwright decided to bring him off the bench in favor of Jamal Crawford. He didn't wisen up to playing them both together until it was too late. They began winning games at the end of the season, but those wins decreased our chances at drafting LeBron. Then of course his career ended with the motorcycle accident.

2004 Ben Gordon - We didn't get a chance to draft a big man, but we still had Curry and Chandler, both of whom seemed to be coming into their own. Had we picked 1 or 2 and drafted Okafor or Howard, the Twin Tower experience was over in Chicago. However, like I said, both Curry and Chandler were showing much improvement. We end up drafting Gordon, though most mocks had us drafting Iguodala. I knew nothing about Iggy and the time, but I did know Gordon was a flat out scorer. He had a good rookie season, hitting game winners and clutch shots. He averaged 15 ppg in less than 30 mpg. He probably should've won ROY, but Okafor's 15 and 10 trumped Gordon's 15, despite the Bulls making the playoffs. He ended up with 6th Man of the year though....the only rookie to win that award.

Good post. Damn shame what happened to Jay Will--he was a beast coming out of Duke. You remember the debate about whether the Bulls should take Rose or Beasely? I think they made the right move.

I never wanted Beasley. I thought Rose was a no brainer. Yeah, Beasley put up Durant type numbers in college, but Rose was a winner and a matchup problem at the next level. Not to mention being a hometown kid. The Bulls HAD to take him.

Celtics

1998: Paul Pierce at #10 - Future Hall of Famer and life long Celtic.

2004: Al Jefferson at #15, Delonte West at #24, Tony Allen at #25 - All were key contributors while they were here. And Al and Delonte led to the acquisitions of KG and Ray and banner #17.

1996: Antoine Walker at #6 - Employee #8 was eccentric at times and also a bright spot on some lousy Celtic teams.

Just as it was just getting good
As a C's Fan the draft has usually been a sea of disappointment and guys who never reached their potential but:
-Getting Antoine Walker is what even prompted me to really start watching them
-Getting Pierce (my fav Celtic) is the reason I'll always be a C's fan
-I can't front I thought we had 3 beasts with Joe Johnson, Kedrick Brown & Joe Forte :to:
-Trading the 5th pick for Ray Allen :lawd:

Forgot about that 04 draft! They took a fellow Hawk and all three of them are rotation players / starters.

Ok, b/c I said 3 drafts while you've been a fan...:snoop: I feel your pain, though, since you are a Warriors fan. I guess you have reason to go back, but to the 1960s? :damn: You ain't like Steph (2009) or Monta Ellis (2005), though? :scusthov:

yeah ellis was a solid pick in the 2nd.

i'd be cool with steph if his ankle wasnt made out of balsa wood
