Nah... they are getting something out of it. Our resident coli lawyers just said the other day that WBD would back down off the "poison pill" in the contract. Clearly, that's not the case... That's after our coli lawyers said for weeks that TNT didn't "have matching rights" because ESPN's former head said they didn't :mjlol:

Silver/NBA believe the deal is different enough to where WBD cannot match it... lawyers will decide if that's the case or not, I'd think the likely outcome would be some sort of settlement and it doesn't go to court. Both parties would rather not go to court from what I've seen reported.

If they can match Amazon that would be great. That spot should be reserved for traditional TV. TNT should try to team up with CBS like they do for March Madness. Could have a similar setup like ABC/ESPN.

Would’ve been cool if Fox had got in on this too. NBA needs to be on more national TV platforms.
