Shooting in this game is absolutely horrendous and the exact reason why I saying the park has ruined this game in all aspects.

Nah it’s dope. You really gotta get in the gym and practice this year. I thought the same thing before my shooting got better. You really feel rewarded with makes on here
The changes to shooting and dribbling were for the better.
I'm good with the shooting changes. As frustrating as it is right now, elite shooters in the park are hitting between 50-60%. Still high but nowhere near as bad as the 70%+ from 3s last year. I think shooting is more or less the same unless 2k conditioned you to thinking those bad shots were good shots since they had 40 badges evening shyt out.
The defense is as always, dumb as fukk. 2k has no idea how to balance a game. Last year there was not a lot of slashing because 3s were too easy and Intimidator and Chase Down Artist made people miss for no reason or a 50 speed center going from free throw line to free throw line in 2 seconds because his badge says so
I think they need to add layup timing and not give people an option to turn it off. People making highly contested paint shots because they turned their Close Shot up and just let the game do the rest. The Glove badge also broken. People just tapping square and plucking anyone who doesnt have unpluckable over gold. And due to the ball handling requirements to get that gold, your PG might be the only person who has it.
If 2k learns to balance shyt, we'd be alright but they always go way too far one way and then "fix" it in the next years game while fukking something else up
That being said, I'm enjoying the game. I like not playing against zone teams who just spam square all game and are in every passing lane. Most teams struggle with shooting so it's not constant blowouts every game. Hopefully they figure out a balance for inside and perimeter defense because this is one of the best 2ks in a while

I’m a PNO player. I don’t have time to learn every excellent release(which is exacerbated with the latency and other online factors)for multiple players/teams. It’s even worse since the tier system is still in effect so if i want to progress I have to use different teams instead of one main. The issue for me is I’m a player who actually runs plays from the book and makes adjustment(yea I know sweat shyt) So this change to shooting limits me because slightly early/late have a terrible short window. Meanwhile the scrub zone/pnr cheesing/iso until an opening player feasting due to 2K eternal awful AI defensive awareness and shyt interior/post defense

Yeah but you gotta practice with hall of fame difficulty level then you will get used to it.

Bro, it's horrible. I just played a rim running, zone running, steal button mashing, Bulls user vs my Mavs and turned the game off 2 mins in. Not even worth playing.
The latency is tough for players that have a late jumper. I'm barely missing with Tim Hardaway Jr in practice, but when I go online, I have to hold the the button wayyy longer than usual. Even times I hold for a long time, that bytch will still say early. But then some shots are quicker at times. (These are wide open situations too) shyt's a mess.
I'm PNO heavy. Usually 300+ games per 2k year.. but this year I'm not lasting that long with this BS.
I just had a nikka post me up with Derrick rose. I’m talking about physical moving me using Hachumira. I literally just hit the exit button on this fukking garbage. I’m glad I haven’t paid for this game in years
