Only reason I’ve been playing 2K for the past few years is because of the throwback squads tbh
The game is decent to play against the AI, when you don't use exploits to win. Online is a nightmare tho, not worth the stress at all.
Breh! I just bought this last week because my cousins been leveling up their myplayers. I'm more of a sim, MyTeam and 2K online kinda guy. But I legit wanna sell this game already.
This game is an ad for all the products (Nike, Gatorade, Jordan, etc) and increased revenue via VC. Your player can't reach his full potential if you dont cop VC, your MyTeam will forver be trash if you don't cop VC. Case in point, I played 3 games in MyTeam, first game dude scored with Tracy Mcgrady EVERYTIME, 2nd game D Rose same thing, 3rd game dude had Magic and Eddy Curry. Eddy Curry was playing like he was back in high school. shyt was ridiculous, if you know basketball and try to play logically you get punished. Layups are broken, the AI is dumb and the game hasn't improved since the last time I owned it with 2K17. Save your money

its mind boggling to me that in 2020, gameplay is still an issue in a sports sim. GAMEPLAY. Something that was perfected countless times in nba gaming history somehow gets horribly worse in 2020.

ME. I won the required games to get past the first level and now I'm playing on the 2nd (JV?), fam I've lost all three games in Tier 1. Cats were playing some got damn junk zone defenses AND playing off ball. Majority of the time I punish dudes who play off ball because if the guy the guy he's suppsoed to be guarding cuts or moves, they get lost. But this was another level of cheesers.
I can say on ball defense has improved since I owned 2K17. You can stay in front of most guys and play a semblance of tough defense. Of course the Steph's, Lillards and Harden's are tough to defend but that's realistic. But for mufuka to turbo around the perimeter with Magic Johnson just to shake my guys is BS

If you take the online equation out of it this game is actually quite good.
I run My League seasons on Hall of Fame and although it can be cheap at times, I honestly like the gameplay on default sliders. I'm playing with the current Clippers in a season of nothing but classic teams and we're 20-7.

One of my friends bought a PS4 and this game and he can't get online no matter what he does. Keeps saying something about a invalid email address and he's tried two different ones. Play Online With Friends option is completely missing lol. Bought the game brand new. Anyone here ever ran into this?
