The developers really turnt thIs game up. Its arcadey ad hell. Playing defense is fukking infuriating. Just played a nikka who cheesed me to death with Westbrook by blowing past my guy and reverse dunking all game. Can anyone drop some suggestions?

It feels like my guy is skating on defense and its pissing me off when im moving to get a rebound with a Pf/C and a pg will snatch the shyt out the air from me. Is that some sig skill with rebounding or is my controler fukked

thats my biggest issue, why is it so hard to rebound. i was playing with the spurs against the sixers, down by 2 with a min left, i contested a shot, the ball is coming off the rim and i got 3 big men down there. All of a sudden jrue comes in and grabs the boards from all of them
, goes straight up and misses of course. still got my big men all down there, and all of a sudden bynum gets the board over all of them and revers dunks on me and gets the foul. so instead of getting a board and getting a potential fast break to tie the game i'm down 5, and end up losing the game
I like the game itself. It will never be on the level of 11. But the presentation is what bothers me. Its too much going on with it.
When you start out you'll be a combo-player or depending on your position have to go -1 or +1 (eg. if you're a SG be prepared to play SG, PG, AND SF). That's why being a C or a PG, they limit it to only 1 other position (SG for PG and PF for C). It's a lot easier to play and you won't get exposed to a mismatch especially earlier on, as you get better you'll regularly be assigned to your actual position
1-3-1 zone, and 2-3 tend to work best imo. You're giving up the three point shot in both, so a guy that knows what he's doing will and can pick it apart. I actually found a lot of success with the 3-2, also. It's tailored to guard the three point shot, but it makes it hard for them to bulldoze into the paint in my experiences.
Whenever you play the zone, just make a concentrated effort to stay one step ahead of your opponent mentally when they're swinging the ball around for the perimeter looking for threes. You'll have to switch defenders a lot, but it's damn effective at forcing turnovers and locking down the paint. I alternated between zones just a few minutes ago as I was playing a guy that used the Nuggets and tried to dunk every play with Iggy.
It's really absurd, though. They've removed all collisions from the game. I'm not seeing these brand new physics that they bragged and boasted about. The demo played better. That's hilarious and sad at the same time.
Nah, you can. The guy will just always have the same name. This came from their official website on their forums, btw. Called it a "workaround."
I'm convinced 2K is trolling at this point.

No, don't get me wrong. There are still collisions in the game; just not nearly enough. Guys literally slide right by you as if you're not there when they're heading to the paint. I'm not seeing instances of guys colliding at the rim during contests, either. I ran a TeamUp match and it was impossible to bump the guy I was guarding while the CPU attempted to cut to the rim. Off ball collisions and contact in the paint while someone is driving(doesn't even have to be an animation this year) are nonexistent. I said it earlier, but the demo had better physics than what I'm seeing now.
