Yes they did.

Starting last year ESPN started taking over Vegas Summer League games again because of Simmons and Ingram. Prior to the that, NBA League Pass was making a killing on Summer League packages centered around top picks in big markets. At the same time, NBA TV's coverage of summer leagues (and even summer league practices ) was a significant bump in their offseason ratings. Before the Lakers had their own TV deal, their young guys were regularly premier draws. Even Bynum mentions did numbers.

Yes, the Lakers have their own channel and TV deal btw they kill time by following Larry Nance Jr and Jordan Clarkson to in and outs across the country

espn showing it on the main channel vs the lakers showing it on their own network/league pass showing it are 2 different things....of course a team is gonna show it on their own network, and yes, the league is gonna show them in nba league packages, but we talking about espn main channel during prime time....if you dont see the difference, you just dont want to....

Nah b. Its been like that for years now. I worked the Summer League for the past 4 years. Part of the scoring crew. We had two crews one for each arena.
