Lonzo.... man, there's not a single starting guard in the league that he can even pretend to stay in front of. He'll play because he has to and LA fukking sucks, but that team is gonna be giving up absurd scores night in and night out.
It doesn't matter...dude has had impact defensively with steals, weakside blocks, good positioning, and help defense. Also, his groin is still hurting him which is why he sat out a game. If you've been watching him there's a lot of plays that he would dunk at UCLA that he hasn't dunked in SL because of his groin, he'll be quicker and more explosive once he's fully healed. Also, Lonzo will slide up a position to the two and have KCP guard the toughest PG match-ups.

What do you mean Tatum isn't big enough to play the 5? He'll never play the 5 dude is 6'8. You just shyt on the whole draft class when this has been the most impressive set of rookies I've seen at the SL level, and the most talent I've seen in a SL period even with the undrafted guys. They rookies, obviously have their flaws and things to work on.

Its Summer League :dahell:

Most of these guys are here precisely because they don't understand what organized basketball is supposed to look like. These summer league guys, the ones that aren't basura, are in the circuit because they don't understand stuff like weak side defense, hedging effects, how to trap, etc. Every single aggressive off-ball defender in SL eats. And even if KCP does the heavy lifting at the point, Ball is gonna be giving up career nights to the 2s of the league. You can't hide him. Not in LA where there's only a handful of guys that play defense top to bottom. LA is getting blown up nightly.

Tatum can't hold his position. Its always been the case. The area where he best operates is no man's land in the league. Not because "the mid-range jumper is dead", but because the league is too damned to fast. People cheat on the high post constantly so you have to be a literal basketball genius to thrive there as well as consistently be one of the strongest guys on the court. Obviously I meant 4 :hamster:

You're taking being critical as being a hater :ld: no need to be that sensitive. All these guys got flaws. Dennis got next - but if he doesn't learn to land he's gonna be dead before Christmas.

Why would he be expected to play the 4 or the 5? That's not a flaw

If he's gonna play 3 he's gotta get a lot faster and tighten up that handle a LOT

and that's just a hard thing to do. How many guys do you know significantly increase their speed? Their ball skills? Its rare as fukk.

Josh :mjpls:

Justin is the kind of guy that's gonna be in the league forever. Josh.... you can't play at one speed and be that fundamentally unsound. Its gonna make his learning curve way steeper than it needs to be.

I see you breh..:sas2:

His handle is not that bad just a bit of a loose handle but that can be an advantage at times in baiting defenders off-balance. He has a deceptive first step and a lot of length. Boy is 19 and super skilled c'mon now. He's a 2-3 right now.

Against summer league and college comp, sure - but a long first step doesn't mean a thing if your change of direction is jank.
