saw this thread bumped and figured he dropped a new song or did something. dude's production is pretty nice i gotta say. but him as an overall artist combines the most played out, trite and lackluster trends from all aspects of modern day rap and rolls it into one package. drug talk, lambo talk, other-dudes-girl talk, high fashion, spacey production, sing-songy flow, big features. all the boxes on the "is it 2017 rap???" list are checked. wouldn't be surprised if he had a yes julez co-sign or something too. it's so cookie cutter and basic that it's almost insulting to fans and listeners. very disappointing coming from XO . The XO I knew of 6 years ago was doing new, unpredictable, cool things... now they're backing dudes who seem like they were tailor made by Lyor and his son on some "make-a-rapper" video game.
