I don't completely understand the question and the reason behind it

Well, there are lots of things that are ways that come natural to people. I've just taken the ones you've listed. How do you differentiate what is acceptable in a civilized society and what isn't?

Well that's quite a long term approach I suppose. But then there are lots of things we do that don't advance the human race but there's no reason to stop doing them. Think about what's different about them in a day-to-day setting.

"acceptable?"

A whole host of things.

Its more beneficial in my eyes to talk about things I'm NOT inclined to tolerate.

I don't see whats to be gained from fronting on what CONSENSUAL ADULTS do in their own privacy.

It's for the good of current and future generations. For example an adult engaging in heavy drug use will eventually end up damaging the community he or she resides in, either now or in the future.

yes...but prohibition doesnt inherently work as it doesn't lead to the removal of the very thing you're trying to prevent.

governance can't always be about absolutism...it has to account for the unexpected.

The fact that you were "Born With" a certain disposition, proclivity or desire does Not make this Disposition morally right , or even morally neutral. According to the same logic, a Heterosexual man who is married would have Hundreds of "Baby's Mamas" and no less than Thousands of Illegitimate Children simply by following his "natural" heterosexual inclinations. Also, anyone who has babysat for any length of time will note that kids are born with a number of undesirable traits: selfishness, anger issues, cantankerous attitudes, and dishonesty are a few obvious examples. My point is that Self-Control and restraint of our "natural" desires forces itself upon each of us at some point -regardless of what our "desires" may be. Let's stop this Nonsense about saying something is right because we were "Born this Way". Its not a logically valid position to take. This includes sexual deviant behavior such as the much pushed homosexuality.

@Napoleon
Didn't read the thread but I'll say this. Your argument is futile because the leading arguments against oppressors of homosexuality is not based what the person is born with. Whether its a choice or not is irrelevant.

(1) Most people ARE NOT born homosexual...There is NO scientific proof to support this claim...Homosexuality is a result of multiple factors that are not well understood...If people were born gay, then 100% of identical twins will be gay, because they share the same exact genes...but we know that is NOT the case...

(2) Morality is NOT objective...It is based on emotions and social consensus...There is ABSOLUTELY nothing in this world that is morally right or wrong...Therefore, engaging in homosexual activity is NOT morally right or wrong, since morality itself doesn't exist in the grand scheme of the universe...It is strictly a human practice...

Something that is "morally wrong" can benefit a large number of people...For example, more people have benefited from slavery than the amount of black people that were harmed...350 Million Americans today are still benefiting from the slave trade...Having almost free labour for over 200 years is priceless for profits...

Another example, if we euthanized all the children born with debilitating diseases, because they will never be productive in society, and all the old people with dementia, and young people who are unable to function in society because of disease (mental and/or physical), we would save a lot in health care costs, and society will greatly benefit and become more efficient...

On the flip side, if we adopted a more communal philosophy in our societies, and equitably shared all our resources then we might just eradicate poverty...If this is "morally good" then why are we capitalists...?

Conclusion,

No one is born gay...People chose to engage in homosexual activities...Just because you have desires to have sex with a man, it doesn't make you gay...Just like you are not a murderer, just because you are thinking of killing somebody...You have to make the choice to commit the act and do it...

Choosing to engage in homosexual activities is not immoral, because morality is SUBJECTIVE...You can't scientifically prove any actions to be moral or immoral....
