Am I the only one feeling that they are trying to kill the natural hair movement though , they understand black women are starting to wake up and find some self confidence to wear their natural hair and go against the grains of the standard of beauty and they are trying to kill it. Or maybe I'm just over thinking.
It seems like there is an anti-natural hair movement going on. Even using this school's logic of fighting "distractions," any girl who wears natural hair and takes care of it would avoid being a "distraction." The girl in this story does not seem sloppy at all but the hammer is still coming down on her. So even if you are presentable, the rule can still bend in a vague way (not vague but BS way) to keep you on the hot seat.
