Yep, some people, no matter how much they exercise or how well they eat, are just destined to go through life with high blood pressure.
He should’ve been on meds. I don’t know if he was on them or not especially with access to top quality healthcare, but I find it very hard to believe he managed his blood pressure well to get fit this point

Nate Robinson just doesn’t lose a kidney wtf. Professional athlete, no trace of autoimmune issues through his career or diabetes. Still in amazing shape. Why is he in renal failure going through dialysis? You don’t just lose a kidney that fast unless there’s an acute injury or toxin. I need more info

Edit: if he’s doing dialysis he lost both kidneys and that’s a shytty way to live doing dialysis so young

Edit 2: it was years of high blood pressure :ohhh:

Yeah the question is why was he hypertensive as a high level athlete and why none of the teams he was on found a way to control it. There's an underlying issue outside of diet.

It's spelled out right in the article

“They used to tell me that we’re going to have to check your blood pressure and if your blood pressure is too high, you can’t play in the game. I used to tell them, ‘don’t check my blood pressure because I am playing regardless of what you say’,” said Robinson. “I thought I was young and invincible. I didn’t know it was going to catch up to me.”

Something pointless.

Predisposition for an illness does not negate focus on changing your diet

Ignorance towards macro nutrients is a danger. My comment obviously hit close to home. You or your family member suffering from this need to wise up
