Don’t do that. Don’t hype up Jake Paul.

This is him. He’s 6”1 actually, not 6”2. Nate is 5”9. Four inches is not a big deal. He looks like your average college white boy in a frat. And he just knocked out a professional NBA player :mjlol: This loss is all on Nate. While I understand boxing is a different sport, from all his years of training, he should be stronger, better conditioned and faster than some hobbyist athlete. If he took training seriously, his skill set could’ve transferred over. But he didn’t. He looked like he hadn’t trained whatsoever. He wasn’t even in a boxer’s stance and his punches looked horrible. He thought it was a game and he got knocked out. Don’t play up this cac to be some next level fighter :mjlol:

:deadmanny: breh I don't even follow this cac like that but there has been threads on here about Jake Paul and his fights for awhile now(this nate fight just happens to be the one to give him the most buzz) but Jake been boxing for a few years breh ... there was no way nate was going to win this unless he was secretly boxing a year or two in advance before this :francis:

Boxing is a sport that doesn’t really take transferrable skills imo. You don’t play boxing as the saying goes. Sure, Nate is strong, fast and athletic but that has nothing to do with timing, protecting yourself, and general ring etiquette.

Speed and strength don’t kill in boxing, timing and footwork do. Athleticism has little do with fighting, which is why George Forman was a heavyweight champ at almost 50.

I do think Nate should’ve actually trained by sparring so he had an idea of what happens in a boxing ring, but just being a basketball player or athlete doesn’t give an inherit advantage in a boxing ring. I also agree that Jake Paul sucks and he just had more experience.

And you still got people out here who thick LeBron James could beat Colby Covington in a straight up fade

In a street fight? Lebron is washing him up. In octagon, Colby Covington would win.

Just like Nate vs Jake Paul. In the street, Nate would’ve slammed him on his head and ended it. The ring is a totally different beast.

Being realistic if you are starting at age 36 you aren’t going to have any type of boxing career regardless of what you feel you have to prove.
I’m not saying he will have success but when he wakes up tomorrow to all the jokes I wonder if he’ll let that push him into the ring again.

I disagree. You have a better chance turning someone who’s already a professional athlete into a boxer than a random off the street. Let’s see...the professional athlete is better conditioned. They’re used to performing in high pressure situations. Probably stronger from years of working out. Should be faster and more agile. A basketball player, especially a guard, should have an extreme level of hand eye coordination. That put them levels beyond a random off the street. But they still gotta train and learn boxing. You still gotta respect that it’s a different sport. Nate didn’t so he got knocked the fukk out. Even if he didn’t win the match, had he trained he could’ve put up a better fight.

LeBron James is a basketball player. Fast, athletic, yeah. But he doesn't have that fighting mentality. Or any kind of fighting skills. Basketball pedigree doesn't equate to being able to fight. Especially against somebody who is a trained fighter. Maybe a regular Street guy.

Lebron is 6’9 260. What exactly can someone 5’11 160 do to him in the street?

nah. if im not mistaken Jake Paul wrestled throughout middle school and H.S

I remember tussling with my lil cousin his soph year...he'd only wrestled for a semester and fighting him got A LOT more difficult than prior. :picard:
