Album blessed us with gems like this though:

I'ma prison cell six by nine
Livin' hell stone wall metal bars for the gods in jail
My nickname the can, the slammer, the big house
I'm the place many fear 'cause there's no way out
I take the sun away put misery instead
When you with me most folks consider you dead
I saw too many inmates fallin' apart
Call for the guards to let them out at night when it's dark
Convicts think they alone but if they listen close
They can hear me groan touch the wall feel my pulse
All the pictures you put up is stuck to my skin
I hear ya prayers (even when ya whisperin')
I make it hotter in the summer, colder in the winter
If the court parole ya then another con enters
No remorse for your tears I seen 'em too often
When you cry I make you feel alive inside a coffin
Watch you when you eat play with you mind when you sleep
Make you dream that you free then you wake up to me
Face to face with a cage no matter your age
I can shatter you turn you into a savage in rage
Change ya life that's if you get a chance to get out
'Cause only you and I know what sufferings about
Yo it's stunnin' when bed sheets become your woman
And I'm the one that gotcha weapons when the beef is comin'

:ahh:
Maybe one day I'll open up my arms to release you
You'll always be my property nikka stay legal...
Last Words verse is one of his most slept on

My cousin pc just got hacked and we was shytting ourselves... There was all types of porn and pop ups all over the pc... It was our auntie or uncles pc or some shyt.

We managed to fix the virus and clean install the PC. We installed a super ultra anti virus software after that.. The software asked for a looong ass password ull never forget.

The password was "nastynasfromescotoescobarnowheisnastrodamous"

I couldn't make this up if I wanted to.

The fact y'all misspelled Nastradamus when it was spelled in the album cover :pachaha:

I go from Illmatic to It Was Written. Then I skip right over Nastradamus & I Am. Then I proceed to listen to Stillmatic.

compared with the intensity and edge of Hate Me Now

yeah it sounds like an afterthought, which it was, Columbia had him record some new tracks, and this was one of them

but in 7th grade I thought it was kinda fire.

My Mind Right wasn't out until 2000, on the Backstage OST, the remix was on Bleek's second album.

The solo version was a response to Nastradamus, 'Ya lifestyles written well who you supposed to be"

and then Nas came back with the verse on Da Bridge 2001, in late 2000 also.

The first Bleek shots were on his debut, Coming of Age, from a song featuring Jay

"What You Think of That", and Jay goes at Nas on his verse, not Bleek

so then Nas said "you wanna ball till you fall I can help you that"

The hook of the Bleek song goes "I wanna ball til I fall, what you think of that

Nas also had a freestyle around spring/summer 2000, over 'Eye For An Eye" where he went right at Jay, pretty directly.

here's the Jay verse

Know nikkas ain't frontin' like I'm a clown or sumthin'
Like I don't get down or sumthin'
Like I don't tote a 4 pound of sumthin'
Round here frontin' like my shyt don't sound like nuttin'
Like I ain't got the crown or suttin'
Like I ain't the nikka you base ya life on

I guess I ain't the reason you got that ice on
Like I ain't the muthafukkin' dude with the shoes
I guess I ain't the reason you rhyme the way you do
Like I ain't the nikka who mastered all flows
And the reason they can't sell them four point O's
Like I ain't 5 mill', and what do ya joint go?

Excuse me? nikka don't confuse me
I ain't one of you rappers who got a deal
I'm one of the few nikkas spittin' it and got it for real
And even if you hatin', you gotta knock it in yo' wheels
And the day that I stop it.....ILL!!

Only thing I don't like is him claiming he was the first one to sing a hook on some TJ Swan shyt :mjlol: that definitely belongs in the "post ridiculous claims rappers have made" thread.

In the low quality can not sing but makes it appealing.

That is nas's wave tho from gimme yours.

Not worse than

“You can call me HOV I to the E, ah HOV,
I bus like Nastransit and y'all fake bust like Pamela Anderson,:gucci:
I ball like an NBA owner,
You might boner”

Corny Hov

Nas>>>> Jay, but this song will always be worse than "Ghetto Techno" because it is on a retail album. "Ghetto Techno" is not. Ya'll lose everytime ya'll dig that song up giving it views. One day that song is going to go platinum and will be the first unreleased song to do so. It will all be because of Booth posters and that song will be The Booth's lasting legacy.

Not gonna lie I be randomly singing that in real life

Same. I didn’t much care for it the first time I heard it but that shyt is actually catchy as hell and it still pops up in my head from time to time. It’s not a bad song, but that instrumental is top 20 WOAT.
