See those slick comments like that is why I rather not have Nas come on that Rap Radar show. Cause this nikka KNOWS he's being disingenuous with that statement. If Nas goes there, He'll be doing 2 interviews. Deciphering him and B Dot's slick bullshyt comments, and answering the interviewing questions

Why do you say that?

I think the thing that makes Nas so polarizing for fans, media people, other artists, etc. is that he never does what YOU want him to do. He pretty much does what he feels and that pisses people off.

- When fans beg for him to make a certain type of album (i.e. produced by Premo, duo album with AZ) he doesn't.

- When artists want him on songs but he doesn't feel like it, he won't collab. This is the same dude who curved B.I.G and Jay-Z requests for collaboes.

- Most interviewers can't get him on their shows to do chatty patty industry talk.

I don't even believe most people who hate on Nas really mean it. I think it's just resentment of his aloof ways and the fact that he doesn't seem to care. All the slick shyt people say, he doesn't acknowledge them and they hate that.

Normally he ends up doing the most formal of interview forums (BBC Radio 1, Zane Lowe, That NY Y2C panel,) over regular Hip Hop ones with the exception of people he knows for decades (Angie, Flex, Big Boy)

Radio interviews are trash for artists that's why, most are generic and boring as shyt for them! Drink champs, TBC at least offer something different as they seem to ask questions we want to here rather than generic new album questions. Nas should do a drink champs episode though, it would do numbers.

nas himself basically said something along these lines in one of his interviews from the early 2000s

"Some say hate is just confused admiration"

Nas reminds me a lot of Kobe Bryant. No matter how hard you hate (call him a rapist, criticize him for not passing the ball), he's pretty much gonna act like you don't exist and keep shooting.

There's nothing that shyts on people's egos more than being avoided and treated like their opinion is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if your radio show is #1 or if you're the hottest rapper in the game, if Nas don't feel like fukkin with you, he won't.

This is 1000% accurate. Nas does not entertain confused admirers. There're people in the industry who spent years voicing their negative bias towards Nas. These same people today are asking his manager (Anthony) for an interview with Nas but he gives them zero play. If he deals with them at some point it will only be to serve his purpose.

don't think you'll ever get the Nas interview we'd want because he's not interested enough to go into depth like that..especially for a podcast.

everytime somebody asks Nore about getting Nas (and Cam) on DrinkChamps Nore said they support him but they have to want to do it.
so either the two will do it when its press run time or not any time soon.

Angie will be the most likely destination.

at a push i think RapRadar might be able to get it because his manager did it...but it will be Elliot and B Dot asking what Jay-Z smelled liked the night they squashed the beef, some minutes on Khaled, the new album and his investments and then another 12 questions about Hov.
