I do too. And I know that needs to be taken into account. I'll play devil's advocate one more time. I want to let the thread stand as a place to discuss a very dope song.

I understand wanting to stick with your people that were there for you through hard times. But does Nas have to give him the majority placements in every album? Getting 1 placement on a Nas album is a huge deal and an incredible accomplishment. Remi got like 8 or 9 beats on Life Is Good. You could cut that in half, get 4-5 spots for some incredible talent, and still give your friend 4-5 more beats more than 99.9% of the world will ever get to have, for one of the best artists of all time.

even when he said "wow"? i heard 2 off parts. but i really don't care enough about this song to delve into minutia. i definitely am quick to rebut any overzealous stanning in Nas threads because, well, someone has to. Someone who isn't a troll.



i mean look at the guy above me. he said "his voice melts in with the beat".

I agree the stanning can get out of hand. Even when nas simply announces something people are already screaming classic.

My bad. I was checking the iTunes deluxe edition. He did the bonus joints on there. Yeah I had no problem with Life Is Good. Best Nas album in a long ass time. I still would love to Nas with Madlib, Preem, ALC, Black Milk, or 9th Wonder. It's cool though. Like I said, I did really dig Life Is Good, and The Season is very dope. I can't complain about any Dilla/Nas ever.

Nothing mind blowing but far from wack.. A good little palette cleanser to make me anticipate a new full project... His flow was a little out of pocket on that second verse.. But he's been having this issue since I Am..

Breh...you're the homie but you telling me you had a problem with Salaam on Life is Good?? Queens Story knocks breh. and Cherry Wine. And I understand that dude doesn't always bat 1000, but Nas' connection with him stems from him being the guy who got him back in the studio once his moms passed and helped him get through it. Take it from someone who's been in that position, you really grow fond of the people who help you through some depressing shyt like that
