Who the f*^k cares about mainstream media’s reviews of hip hop albums. They literally contribute nothing to the culture. Other than dictating to non hip hop heads what they should listen to be “accepted”. That’s it. F**k NME or whatever other publication I glossed over when I mistakenly clicked that link. You ain’t sh*t. F**k you. F**k you. F**k you.

This link is the exact reason I hate mass media. The average hip hop head would be thrilled to hear Nas on a RZA or Pete Rick beat. If you ended up not liking it, I can respect that. These are “Lost Tapes” for a reason. That Al Jarreau joint had me trippin too. But I hate these goddamm critics who give their goddamn worthless opinions about a culture they value about as equally as the newest Justin Bieber album. “Who gives a f**k about a goddamn Grammy”

Read album reviews in 2020 brehs :mjlol:

Nas wastes his nimble, multisyllabic flow by jumping from tired topic to exhaustedtopic. “It Never Ends” pays tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. on the hook, with a reference to Biggie’s song “Come On”: “I got seven MAC-11s, about eight .38s/Nine nines, 10 MAC-10s, the shyt never ends (Never ends, never ends)/The world’s going crazy, this shyt never ends (Never ends, never ends).”

Once upon a time, Nas would have had the foresight to turn this appropriated B.I.G. hook into a street-smart condemnation of the gun violence that has been a hot topic in America since Columbine. And yet, he wastes the cut rapping about wearing “buckets like Gilligan.”
