Nas last album was released in 2012.
Totally different times, the "surprise album rollout" has taken over since then.

Pusha said his album was scrapped multiple times because Kanye wanted perfection. I assume/hope this is the same approach with Nas.

People for some reason think Nas started recording with Kanye when the Wyoming pics surfaced. For all we know this has been more than a year in the making.

So why hasn't Nas or his manager or Def Jam said otherwise?

Is all this weird? Yes. But Pusha is coming on Friday as Kanye said. I'm gonna assume all of these albums have been in the planning stages for quite some time and are finished or almost done. The only thing I'm wondering about is sample clearances but...Pusha is coming on Friday so it must not be an issue.
