What’s the purpose of a 20 minute Nas album? :francis:

It’s not like he’s Pusha, and has had projects come out in 2013 and late 2015 beforehand, or Koonye in 2013 and 2016

Nas has legit not dropped a project in 6 years. And he is way more content heavy than the aforementioned. Surely he got more than 20 minutes my nikka :comeon:

I don't know if this is good news or not, working with Kanye I definitely expected some sellout, weird collabs and ecclectic shyt. But with 20 minutes it probably won't be like that which is the good news, but 20 minutes:gucci:? After 6 years,20 minutes the best you can do? I've heard 20 minutes worth of unreleased 2pac material in the last 6 years:comeon:

What do you guys think this will sound like in terms of content? Nas always speaks about his life on every album. It seems like its gonna be his classic sounds revamped for new gen... im interested to see what subject matter he deals with? Socio-political shyt like untitled? His marital issues like Life is Good, lyrical assassination like Illmatic, introspective like Godson or be on his 4:44 business/mentor venture capital shyt?

Pusha mentioned that Kanye views his career in windows, so for instance he loves the Clipse and wants to bring out moments from that era. I'd expect a similar approach with Nas, who has a more versatile career. For instance I'd expect introspective Nas shyt, some Escobar shyt, storytelling Nas, etc. Snapshots of Nas' best moments, plus modern Nas shyt too (businesses, life, marital issues, etc).

Sorry if this has already been discussed but is this going to fulfill his obligation with Def Jam? They've been refusing to accept a Lost Tapes type album as his final one right? If this one counts I guess it's off the strength of the notoriety that comes with it being completely produced by Kanye despite being only 7 tracks.

If so then does this mean the floodgates are opened for new/unreleased Nas music? :ahh::blessed:

WE BEEN WAITING SINCE LIFE IS GOOD.... there kids in kindergarten who were born after that shyt came out. :damn:

Easy to forgot Life is Good came out in 2012. It doesn't seem like that long ago but it is. Think about how much has changed since 2012. Also, can't believe we made it nearly 6 years without a new Nas album. By far the biggest gap in Nas's career without an album.

So his shyt gonna be 7 songs to?

Yes.

Ya'll gonna just have to accept this 7 track shyt and move on.

Instead of moaning ya'll need to realise we are getting 7 new Nas songs in a few days time produced by Kanye West. That is a blessing. If Kanye never thought of doing this 7 track run of albums, ya'll would be getting NO Nas music this week. Not one song.

If Nas has recorded a grip of other songs, then we'll hear that in due time, but ya'll should just appreciate the fact we're getting new music by the GOAT.
