:mjcry: I wish we had this motivated Nas back in (2009-2017) With the exception of LIG in 2012 breh released just one solo album in that span

But better late than never :wow: Breh released in 18',19',20',21'(twice) and now 22' most likely :blessed:
I think he was more focused on getting his life back in order. Remember the divorce and he was in tax trouble and on the verge of going broke. Now everything's straight for him and he can put all his focus in music

Why on earth would you skip KD2. Are you insane?

Rare, Moments and Store Run are dope :ehh:

Not feeling the lowkey vibe of the production that much, doesn't compliment Nas's style the way that this album did. Also Nas's bars are not as sharp across the board as they are on this one.

Regardless I'll check KD3 out off the strength of this one

I will say, one thing I gotta ding Hit-Boy on is his drums - not the patterns but I think his snare sounds can be kinda underwhelming - the 40-16 Building beat demands louder, harder hitting snares. Sometimes the polish is a detriment.

Def some of Nas’ most poetic rhymes and imagery in a minute. Especially the way he constantly deviates with these vivid pictures of moments, adding some abstract shyt to the more straight forward schemes. The Snoop line for instance. Reminds me of Illmatic, Lost Tapes, and God’s Son.

This shyt is hard not much else you can say man. And the beats whew. Hard drums. There’s this dark, moody vibe too.

Real shyt the bars on this are really cut from that GOAT cloth :banderas: this the Nas I missed

I’m not comparing an album that just came out to one that been out for months. I will say that there is no YKTV here, ie a track that’s not bad but doesn’t fit the vibe and could have been on someone else’s album. To me that was the only flaw on that album, and it kinda broke up an amazing string of songs.

Whereas Magic sounds like it’s all Nas. This is his arena, his home court.
