Even leaving skills out of the equation Nas's longevity puts him over everyone. I don't see how anyone can have Big and Pac over him while deceased for well over a decade.

Nas's pen isn't as sharp as it used to be but his music is still at a high level and he's figured out how to age gracefully on mic. Most rappers run out of gas and have nothing to say well before 40. Nas still sounds inspired.

Jay is a legend and an incredible MC but he's had the most dud albums out of all the GOAT tier MCs. Half his shyt is average or weak.

I've listened to some RD lately and I don't think Jay at his best is anywhere close to Nas on Illmatic and IWW. That's not a slight because I don't feel anyone has ever rapped at a level that high.

meanwhile has dropped 2 classics in a row. and before that, the lost tapes 2, and we getting another one today. so this will be 4 albums in the last 3 years.

I think ppl over estimate J in a versus I can think of 5+ artists that can see him
