I like how he named Kenny Drake and Cole. If anything, it will light a fire under them. And also specifically with Cole, who kind of went against Nas during that short-live smear campaign from Kelis, kind of clears the air of any potential resentment from that.

Its disgusting how Nas gets no credit for the risk he took multiple times in his career artistically

Without Nas career in the mainstream Rap ecosystem we would have only have vapid capitalistic mantra music from Hov.

Atleast Nas can meld the aspirational gangsta with the conscious artistically going back as far as It Was Written
Fire...this is a great point, :salute:. Even if he failed at a couple attempts, at least he attempted to put himself out there and try something. Jigga my guy too but you're right.

Level with me guys why am I not seeing or hearing what y'all are hearing with Magic.

I wonder if it is because for the majority of stuff Nas released 2010 to 2019 especially one off singles and unreleased stuff I was not mind blown like y'all were.

Maybe it's a generation thing.

Everybody can experience the Great American Nas album at actual time of release. Which can't be said for his first 4 albums for those alive now over 13 years old.

Could be a generational thing. A lot of Nas Stans have been that for at least 20 years if not longer.

The way nas is rapping on this album is crazy to me. How old are you? Might be a generation thing

You have to love the frequency of the releases. I bet we get something else quickly after KD 3. Maybe a soundtrack, single or something but they on a roll. He is bound to win some awards between KD2 and Magic and KD3 is already in progress. 2022 is going to be bountiful

After KD3 it's Magic pt2.. We gotta get the trilogy for that too lol KD3 like the first 2 can be that broaden sound with different textures as he describes and the Magic series can just be him in his rawest form.

This.

We got "EPMD" and the posse cut that featured Ghost and Styles that was on another project after KD1. We got "Big Nas" after KD2.
