IF this album is anything close to an 8 or 9/10 then we need to start talking about Nas replacing Jay in terms of skills and discogcraphy.

Top 3 GOATS: BIG. PAC. NAS
4) Rakim
5) Big Daddy Kane

Give the man his flowers while he still alive

He been ahead of Jay in terms of skills and discography :heh:

Jay's batting average is way worse than Nas.

Jay has like 5 albums I can play front to back. The rest of his discography is inconsistent as fukk.

Song for song he can compete with Nas, but in terms of albums he's put out too much trash.

I felt that way in 2012 when Life is Good dropped. It’s only become more and more obvious since that time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the album title in reference to Mr. Magic? Who passed away earlier this year?

If that's the case, and judging by the cover and back, we could be in for a damn classic. Looks like it got that dusty 90's vibe on the cover.
It’s referencing Mr. Magic. He was a radio personality back in the day on WBLS (Mr. Magic’s Rap Attack) with Marley Marl. He had the first ever Hip Hop radio show. From Magic spawned the entire Juice Crew (Biz Markie, MC Shan, Shante, Kane, G Rap, Masta Ace, Craig G).

I think I'm past the GOAT talk. Nas just makes life music. I can play his music all day. The poetry, vision, beats, everything is just really good. I can appreciate his misses because overall, it's just dope. He's raps Stevie Wonder and Donnie Hathaway to me personally.
