Glad to see he's at least working with Preemo in some capacity, even if it's only for some scratches or talking cuz for a minute I thought Nas developed some weird hang up over working with Preem. He basically brushed him off when he tried to get a Nas appearance on that last Gang Starr album 2 years ago. Mos Def/Yasiin Bey too.

That's the legendary Mr. Magic so hopefully an early 90's theme. Maybe Nas got inspired for this around the time he was getting the Video Music Box documentary together.

For cats who are hip-hop historians and dig early 80s hip-hop from acts who never cracked the mainstream and were the NY underground at the time, peep some of the "Rap Attack" shows that have been archived and uploaded on Youtube sometime. I was on a late 70s, early 80s hip-hop kick earlier this year just fascinated with the birth of this culture, checking out early NYC Breaker vids and battles, Rocksteady footage, etc. and there are some real gems provided by Marley and Magic online that most of us obviously missed cuz we were too young or not even around yet.

Doesn't get talked about much but Illmatic had the GOAT photography. I miss buying albums and flipping through the art and liner notes.
