It’s the truth :manny: How you gonna knock on DJ Premier like being a fan is living in the past & at the same time be worshipping Nas? Nobody aside from old heads rocking with Nas nowadays:hhh:
It's not a knock Preemo is not in his bag right now and hasn't been in a while. That hip hop 50 compilation he did was aight at best and quickly forgotten. It had a Nas song nobody cared about too. Now y'all want a whole album of those? :skip:

People who want a Preem Nas album are yes living in the past. Again that whole Nas isn't relevant argument was had in the public by a lot of people already and the consensus doesn't support you. He's is relevant to a lot of people he isn't hot. Arguably has trail blazed what it means to age as a rapper musically since life is good.

Preem isn't relevant or in his best element and he's top 3 of all time easily. I can be honest. Can you handle it tho? Nah, hearing that really upset you. :mjlol:

I think nas got mad at eveyone knocking his discoig and just said fukk it ima drop 10 classics and forever solidify myself as the GOAT

Cause lyrically, he was always top notch

it was always his discog that lacked and put him in a DISCUSSION against his peers.

But now its like. how can you really knock nas?
Maybe lack of styles? but its rap so lyrics hold the most weight and Nas is definitely one of, if not THE best in that category.

I think he got a situation where he can stay working with one producer and dropping on his own label vs having songs from a bunch of producers that are not cohesive and end up on lost tapes. He was always a prolific record recorded. The label situations were not conducive to him dropping frequently or following his visions. He tried doing what he doing now with Salaam Remi and the original vision for streets disciples. Or even as far back as the ambitious double album that never dropped. Now these songs are not sitting in vaults waiting on projects and sign offs by 15 different producers. Him and hit work very efficiently

Its because he’s independent. He can truly do what he wants.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a Lost Tapes 3 right about now. Part 2 dropped in summer 18' so the timeline fits.

Would be dope to hear the rest of those unreleased joints from his Stillmatic/ God's Son, Sony/ Columbia days......

That ain’t happening. Nas said the Sony vaults are STAYING vaulted

Nah Part 2 wasn't a dud, it had some filler stuff but it also had some bangers, what you talkin about?

Lost Freestyle, Tanasia, No Bad Energy, Beautiful Life, Queens Wolf, Vernon Family.

C'mon bruh. Yea its not as good as Part 1 which is a classic but it ain't a bad album.
